World Leaders Visit Cameroon

The Secretaries General of the Commonwealth, International Organisation of La Francophonie and the Chairperson of the African Union Commission arrived in Yaounde on November 26, 2019.
“Official visit to Cameroon of Mrs Louise Mushikiwabo, SG of La Francophonie, Mrs Patricia Scotland, SG of the Commonwealth and Mr Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union Commission.”
This was the message written in the banner that was conspicuously placed at the entrance to the VIP section of the Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport on November 26, 2019.
The message then translated announcement of the visit and welcome the three world leaders on a joint mission and who are expected to hold discussions with Cameroon government officials today, November 27, 2019. Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Joseph Dion Ngute went to the airport two times to welcome the leaders. He first went to the airport at midday and welcomed Moussa Faki Mahamat, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission who arrived at the airport at 12:30 p.m.
The Prime Minister received him at the foot of the plane, led him to the VIP lounge of the airport where they had brief in-camera discussions. From there, the convoy with the Chairperson of the AU Commission drove straight away to the Yaounde Hilton Hotel where is was lodged.
The Prime Minister went to the airport the second time at 8:00 p.m. This was to welcome the Secretary General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, Louise Mushikiwabo and the Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland. The two leaders all got to the Yaounde- Nsimalen International Airport at 9:00 p.m. on board an Air France jet.
As is the tradition with such occasions, the Prime Minister welcomed them, had brief incamera discussions at the VIP lounge of the airport before driving to the Yaounde Hilton Hotel.
