The world of fitness seems glamorous from far but it is a real burnout once you start working out. Fitness enthusiasts have shifted their attention to low impact exercises especially when other workouts are taxing on knees and joints. Resistance bands come into the limelight in such a scenario. There are several resistance bands of different strengths to give a perfect workout. It appears easy to start working out with resistance bands but they generate a major burn. Resistance bands for legs and resistance band for glutes are effective in toning them to give the proper shape. Start using resistance bands thrice a week to see the difference.

Leg extensions: Stretch your legs by placing resistance band between them to work out the back of legs and core. The resistance offered by the band will move the muscles to work hard. Hamstrings, glutes and oblique muscles get activated with leg extensions.

Side squats: Doing squats alone will fire up the legs and glutes. Resistance band for glutes is a high-intensity workout. Slow and controlled movements will engage the core. It is important to do the squat properly without injuring yourself. Quadriceps, gluteus maximus, hamstrings, and external obliques get activated with side squats.

Jumping squats: Jumping increases heart rate and the body starts breaking a sweat as a result. The traditional jumping jacks and squats are combined to give jumping squats. Add a resistance band to lower hip just above the knees to perform 30 squats. Glues, hamstrings and quadriceps muscles get activated with this exercise.

Clamshell exercise: It is easier than squats as it involves lying down on the side. This exercise is easier to do without resistance band but adding resistance band is what brings the challenge. It lifts the hip area and strengthens it while working on the outer muscles of the leg. It is especially targeted in the glute area.
