I've spent the past few years working on The Asshole Survival Guide, a sequel to another book about assholes I wrote a decade ago, which focused on how to build a civilized workplace. In the ensuing years, I heard countless personal stories about the damage that bullies and backstabbers inflict, and how to deal with them.
I had to work (pretty closely) with a guy like this when i started at my current job. He was a complete dick to everybody, unbelievable ass hole. Hated the job, hated the people he worked with, constantly grumbling and making sarcastic fucking remarks about everything, wouldn't talk to people like a human being unless he was forced, &c.
How to get rid of an asshole If an asshole is abusive, or if they're making so many people feel like dirt that it's causing significant problems, it might be time to get rid of the asshole.
