Role Description
The Working Capital Analyst / Working Capital Specialist analyzes receivables, payables, and inventory to improve cash conversion and support business liquidity. The role involves monitoring working capital performance, identifying causes of overdue balances or excess inventory, and evaluating opportunities to release cash while maintaining operational requirements and commercial relationships.
The successful candidate will collaborate with finance, treasury, sales, procurement, and operations teams to develop working capital forecasts, track improvement initiatives, and assess results. This position also prepares reports on key metrics, explains performance variances, and recommends actions to improve collections, payment planning, and inventory efficiency.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
* Relevant experience in working capital analysis, financial analysis, treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or inventory management.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify working capital drivers and evaluate their impact on cash flow.
* Understanding of the cash conversion cycle, days sales outstanding, days payable outstanding, and days inventory outstanding.
* Ability to analyze aging reports, payment terms, inventory turnover, and cash flow forecasts.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and financial modeling.
* Familiarity with ERP systems, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate reporting and confidentiality.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
* Ability to coordinate improvement initiatives across teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CTP, or equivalent are an advantage.
