Sex workers are claimed to be operating brothels 24-7 in Swansea and have been spotted half naked on a city bridge after being 'bleached' from High Street.
Girls who had been working along the city’s High Street are alleged by a charity worker to have clubbed together to rent out flats in Griffith John Street instead, following the crackdown, with others moving to residential areas in Brynmill and focusing their attention on St Helen’s Road.
But others are still being pimped out from 7am throughout the day and night just a stone’s throw away from the flat block, it is claimed, with staff at nearby firms being asked by punters if they are interested in “business.”
Police have said they have had no reports of brothels being set up, or the problem being displaced to other areas , but that they continue to safeguard the vulnerable.

Shop assistant Teresa Marsh, 57, who works at Premier Brynmelin in Llangyfelach Street, Swansea , said there were prostitutes yelling out for trade from bridges in the city.
“She was on the bridge naked from the waist down, legs akimbo saying, ‘come and get me'," she said of one woman.

“They can be near the shop from 7am and any time at night - you can find them any time of day.
“If there is business to be made they will be there.”
She added: “I was outside having a fag and someone was going: "Love, love, how much are you charging?”
Mrs Marsh said it had become a “scary area” and that there were repeated problems at Griffith John Street flats, adding: “They are fighting there and putting the windows through.”
Police launched Operation Jaeger to target men and women engaging in sex work in the city centre, along with kerb crawlers, and have underlined their High Street operation is under review.
They have previously stressed they are working to aid vulnerable women and men, and at the same time protect the community .
Resident Christopher Gnana, 38, said there were groups of three or four prostitutes operating in the area at a time, with cars going constantly backwards and forwards.

He said: “It’s got worse, I can see them through the windows from my flat.
“At the weekends I can hear noises at 3am and 4am - they are standing outside.
“After 11pm and midnight they stand outside there and the car comes and they pick them up.
“I’ve also been told by other people that the prostitutes are going towards the flats.
“I’ve been here for three years now and the number there has gone up.”
He added: “At the beginning, I was a little bit scared but this is how the area is.”
Store owner Bopinder Singh, 49, who is a partner in Premier Brynmelin in Llangyfelach Street, Swansea, said there was no escape from the area’s problems.
She said: “This area is known for Trouble - Trouble with a capital T.
“It’s 24-7, when you go out of the shop they are saying ‘how much are you charging?’
“This is a family area, they have young kids and they do not want to be exposed to that.”
She added: “There are civilised people living in Griffith John Street.”

Andrew Davies, senior support worker and independent sexual violence advisor at Swansea Homeless Sanctuary, claimed there were a number of women working out of flats and other properties in the city as the sex trade was being moved underground.
He said: “There’s a group of 10 working girls renting a three-bedroomed flat and have opened themselves up as a brothel 24-7 in Griffith John Street.
“We have seen the police drive them out from working out of High Street.
“There is no security in them working in flats, they are relying on the other girls, which is not good.
“They are going to St Helen’s Road, there are lots of pop-up brothels in Sandfields and near the Guildhall under the council’s nose, along with Brynmill.
“There is a lot of drug dealing going on in Brynmill too - it’s not just on Constitution Hill it’s going on all around the town.”
He added: “There’s a lot of sex workers there and drugs, it seems like this is being pushed out of the city centre.
“People are suffering because of it and are unable to access agencies like this.”
A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: “We continue to work with partners across the city to ensure that those who are identified as vulnerable are safeguarded.
“We have had no reports from residents, business or partner agencies of sex workers being displaced or of brothels being set up.
“If anyone has information we ask them to report this to us.”

Women across the world are posting similar photos in response to Rose’s #BringBackTheBush hashtag.
Although many are using wigs in place of their actual pubic hair, the message is clear: it’s okay for women to have hair down there.
