Rago longline bra with waist band combined with the strong-shaping Rago high waist long leg panty girdle. So the woman´s waist is held in shape by two layered waistbands with a strong effect. Only four garters, the anti-slip bands on the legs may help to keep the nylons in place... If some of us may not trust only four garters to hold the nylons properly, I recommend to wear another girdle over or under the pantygirdle, which will provide another six garters, not to mention the stronger shaping effect!

Wundervoll, wie diese strenge Langbein-Miederhose sogar oben weit über die Taille reicht und den Büstenhalter formend unter der Büste unterstützt. Dieser ist natürlich auch von Rago wie die Miederhose und paßt perfekt zu ihr. Es scheint, das Model trägt kein Höschen - wie frivol - aber auch nicht erforderlich, weil die Miederhose das Höschen perfekt ersetzt. Leider ist sie nur mit vier Strumpfhaltern ausgestattet, so daß die Abschlüsse der langen Beine den Nylons noch zum zusätzlich erforderlichen straffen und faltenfreien Sitz verhelfen müssen... - oder ggf. von einem zweiten Hüfthalter mit Strumpfhaltern unterstützt werden müssen, was sowieso für strenge Formung und Umschließung wünschenswert ist!

This satin half girdle and longline bra are probably from the 1950s. I bought both from European sellers. They made truly outstanding lingerie in those days!
This the best foundation garment I've found to make a difference. I've had mine let out at the hips (I want my bum to be bigger not smaller!) and has six buttons with buttonholes made to connect my Rago longline bra to the girdle to avoid ride up (once called corset govenors). The girdle, bra overlap of about 5", almost makes my tummy dissapear! The narrow bottom ensures one is alway aware of the slight constriction and stride control. My mistress of long ago, insisted on proper foundations (laced garments then) with no days off (one in wash, one in the drawer and one on, the cost was considerable but Madame insisted me buying at considerable cost. As Madame said "you'll thank me later" and She was right! Madame was adamant. Her maid must be properly presented at all times. Madame imposed the high waisted, longline combination early in my training and it took a long time to get used to and become "girdle dependent". Can you image long days of housework in garments so designed to constrict?
I dearly love vintage lingerie and pinup poses. So this picture combines the two. This little gem of a vintage open-bottom half girdle carries the label ‘The Saucy Scallop’ (I kid you not…). The scallop reference is from the curved satin ornamentation on the front. The pink satin longline bra is by Felina, also a vintage item. (They just don’t make lingerie like they used to).
I thought about trying to balance a plate of freshly sautéed scallops on my hip, just to embellish the point and introduce a double entendre. But I declined out of fear I'd drip scallop juice all over this sensational specimen of vintage lingerie.
Modeling this Ellyanna prom dress again, let's me be like one of those women of the 1950's I idolize so much. Like them, I am wearing a bra and girdle. Bra is a longline strapless but it does have places for straps which I use transparent straps. It was a challenge with the greenscreen keyer as the light blue is close to the color of the background green screen. These are stills from a video that I use the greenscreen keyer.
I should note the gown is looser, not as formfitting as my pink Ellyanna gown so it could use some tailoring. It does have all those sensual qualities of being soft, fluffy, extremely girly. Wearing such gowns causes these feelings flowing through my body which affects my physiology. It is very addictive.

The lady looks good in her elegant bra, though - with her figure - a longline bra surely would effect a better shape, also forming the under-bust part with no rolls poppping out at the side. For those that asked what I'm wearing under my gown. A boned, longline bra and high waisted, long leg, boned girdle. Then a four layered tulle petticoat with inner lining, followed by a three layer, tiered tulle petticoat with inner and outer lining and finally a 4 hoop petticoat.
Another series of posing in this outfit which might have still been in fashion when Pan Am began flying the 707 in 1958. This stewardess outfit was bought on ebay where seller listed it as theatrical quality, which it is. Though I had to squeeze into it (I could have used smaller breast forms but I didn't). The heels are probably too high but I am wearing a bra and girdle so compliant with the standards.
Back in the days of “coffee, tea, or me?” where cabin crew consisted of stewardesses, flight crew consisted of pilot, co-pilot, flight engineer, and the aircraft had turbojet engines with no bypass that were loud and streamed huge amounts of smoke on takeoff. But they served meals, drinks, passengers can light up a smoke (yes, that smoking/non-smoking lighted sign had a purpose).
1-23-22 EDIT: I recently found couple articles about early Pan Am days particularly details I missed such as stewardesses have to wear girdles (which I do here), longline bras (I had regular bra), and short white gloves (which I did not). This means I need to do a reshoot (I sure wish I had a technical advisor on hand) with all the proper stuff. However some things like my uniform is not a proper fit (it has wrinkles because I have to squeeze into it but I don't want to go below a DD bra cup size). Also the official Pan Am uniforms had a certain blue color only Pan Am had.

"The girdle keeps you from being able to do anything boyish like run or jump or take any large flights of stairs. The longline is a bra attached to a mini-corset so it basically makes you stand up really, really straight. ... You have to walk like a lady at all times, so immediately you're just put into this mindset of 'I'm a lady. I sit a certain way. I walk a certain way.'"
In '63, you weren't allowed to have your hat too far on back of your head, and the hairstyle had to go with that. It was actually supposed to cross the hairline, sort of two fingers above the eyebrow was a perfect place for it to land.
The reason for the girdle was so that they didn't jiggle because it wasn't ladylike. The girdle just kept everything very, very close to the body and contained. And when you have a bullet bra on, which is a longline, you didn't want to be poking through your bra if it was cold if you know what I mean. So, those bras were thicker than what we have today. With those bullet bras, you have to stand straight or else you look silly and it ruins the line.
Stockings were to be worn at all times. They just wanted a subtle, beautiful color on the legs. A dark color wasn't desired because it's too fashion-y or too flashy, too tawdry. It's always sort of rounding back to the not being ladylike effect.

This dress bought on ebay about 15 years ago, it was listed as custom made drag queen dress (because this style no longer worn by cis women), seller makes to order though material is stretchy.
