The past 6 months have been a whirlwind for women all over the world concerning activism. I can feel that collectively we are saying Burn It The Fuck Down already. The status quo gives us nothing. We do nothing but lose no matter how hard we try to 'fit in' or 'get by' or even just SURVIVE.
I actually had a lesson with my daughter this morning on world events and feminism. My parting thought during school today before I released her was this: of course men want to make us small. They lose nothing from what they can see. When a man tries to force you into a box you stand up, throw a metaphorically lit match on that box, and WALK AWAY. You don't owe anyone your soul.
Don't ask a man WHY they thinks women shouldn't do certain things that they themselves can. Their reasons are always BS. We've heard the reasons a hundred times before. The reasons don't change. They simply want to rule.
Ignore them and do what makes your heart happy. Their opinion is invalid. They are not a woman and they do not speak about our experiences because they do not move through the world as a woman. Telling an anecdote about something they witnessed is different than actually living it. Their opinion has no bearing on what we feel we actually deserve.
We have to stand up for ourselves without a man rallying beside us.
Waiting for them to join us will only hold us back. They have nothing to lose. We have everything to lose.

To be clear: I'm not advocating killing men. But I have to say that quite a few men in my life have asked point blankly why we haven't killed them yet. They say it in a curious tone, too. It leaves me wondering why in the world they don't get a clue.
To be fair, most of the people in power who need to be removed ARE men.
