Boards The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Easiest way to uncensor The Witcher EE!
There is an easy way to turn the American censored version of The Witcher EE into the European Uncensored Version. This uncensors the sex card videos, as well as the pictures in the game! This works with both "The Witcher" and "The Witcher Enhanced Edition." Btw, you can turn the normal version of The Witcher into the enhanced version just by installing a patch, which can be downloaded at their website or on fileplanet.com. How to do it: 1. Download the five files listed below. 2. Use winrar to open the .rar file once all 5 files are downloaded. 3. Extract the files into the "data" folder in your Witcher install directory. 4. Overwrite already existing files as necessary. Does this method fix the character models that are screwed up in the US Censorship Fix?
change names? can you elaborate? im a bit less educated in messing around with game data....
'actually im having problems installing the files( sorry for the double post)..... for some reason when i extract it to the Data folder it comes with a message that "Access is Denied" so im guessing i cant modify the files....unless someone knows a work-around to that problem. Suggestions anyone?" Extract it to the general file it wants you to, eg. Downloads. But add a new file name so it's all together... "C drive > User > Downloads > Witcher Uncensored" Then just copy + paste the files to wherever they're supposed to go. This way you're extracting it properly according to them, just moving it afterwards.

so what is this "500mb" download you speak of because downloading this stuff one by one is taking longer than expected

I heard this game was censored in the US. Is the steam version the original version or is it the censored one?
The first ammendment should really overrule almost any law US makes about censorship, so I don't know why Valve thinks it has to obey these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ state laws. I think it's voluntary on the part of these companies.
'Director's cut' version is uncensored.

As long as you see nipples on your romance cards, your game is not censored. If not go to your Library (detail view) > click The Witcher: Enhanced Edition > under DLC make sure Director's Cut DLC box is ticked
