(spoilers) My first play through, I was all about Triss. The game ends with you living with her in a house, if that's your desire, and you have to break yen's heart to get that. I just started my Yen-centric game, and am enjoying it ten times as much, and my Triss-centric game was already 10/10. That said, the pros of Yen far outway Triss: Yen is far more involved in the story Yen is totally in love with you, more so than Triss There is more Yen romance content than Triss The romance content with Yen is far MORE romantic than Triss (not just the sex stuff, the actual heartfelt stuff) Yen is more of a challenge (people call that 'being b i tc hy', but I don't see it like that), because she's more mature than Triss. In the Lore, Yen and Geralt are basically soulmates, they belong together Yen is the closest thing to a mom that Ciri has, and Geralt is her adoptive father in heart, making Yen and Geralt a natural born couple Yen is arguably hotter and more customizable with the free Yen DLC content Yen was made for Geralt, where Triss is just kind of a glorified f u ck-buddy ... I could go on

Triss is pure friend category. Everything about her screams friend and nothing more.

Yen is a strong independent woman, she gets ♥♥♥♥ done, triss just seems weak and fragile. I dont pay much attention to triss so I cant say much

I find it interesting when people think Yen is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, even blaming her for stealing the Uroboros Mask and destroying Freya Grove. When in fact those acts do not give her any pleasure at all, she even admitted the Necromancy spell was akin to shoving live roaches down the throat and she took the blame instead of Geralt. She was willing to go that far for Ciri like a real mother.

Who would you kill, marry, and ♥♥♥♥? Yennefer, Triss, and Ciri. F-Ciri M-Yen K-Triss

I don't get all the Triss hate on the forums. I mean I can understand if people like Yen more, but all the sudden you'd think Triss started murdering puppies. Yen seems interesting to me, but I ended up going Triss. Since I played all 3 Witcher games, and was with her in 1 & 2, I had more attachment to her. I think Triss is as independent as Yen, as they're both pretty awesome sorceresses and politcal advisors. Plus what sealed the deal for me was when *mild spoilers* you first run into Triss and she asks about Yen and she has a sad look on her face. I couldn't handle sad Triss.

Oh and.... *More spoilers* I thought it was way hardcore of Triss to be leading a underground railroad of Mages in Novigrad. That helped seal the deal for 3x with Triss. Pretty ballsy when she could have just bailed earlier, but she stuck around to help the other mages escape.

I sticked with Triss.due i got really attached to her in the first 2 games. I dont even bothered Yen's Last wish quest,i told her to do it by itself or whatever,im off and yet she still kissed me right before Triss, when we get back with Ciri in Kaer Morhen. I was like, dont you understand what im saying woman? But i'll probably choosing her at my next playtrough.

You kept the rose of remembrance. And the parenting argument is still valid when counting Alvin. My Geralt chose Triss from first game, and won't dump her now. I think that is how amnesia must feel like, no longer caring about the past with your soulmate and break her heart.

Something went wrong. Wait a moment and try again.
Some people do think that Triss manipulated Geralt and she's not the good person. But,Triss never took advantage of Geralt as people often claim, even in the books. If she actually did, specially the way people say it (even rape), Geralt would never forgive her. That's just the basic thing and i'm glad you reached this conclusion too. Yennefer is also a really awesome character and the favorite of the book readers, because she's incredible. But these people also forget that her relationship with Geralt was as much as her fault as was his for the amount of hurt and breakups. And she did something in the books that nobody seems to remember, but she was involved with tampering and manipulating Ciri's bloodline, basically, treating people like cattle. When she first met Ciri, she was going to take care of her more of guilt and even jealousy (Mother Neneke right out the gate tells her that Ciri is no competition) only after spending time witht he girl is that she finaly attains what she strived for so long.
What i'm trying to say is that Triss and Yennefer are incredible characters and is just plain wrong to judge any of them without proper thought and all of the information.
But I'll choose Triss over Yen in the Witcher 3.
To be honest… I liked Triss. I went after Yennefer in my first playthrough, and even though their story is well done, I really, really, REALLY don’t like romances done this way. Destined to be together, magically bound to love each other… I don’t like it because the main character doesn’t really decide what they feel. Instead, it’s decided for them. I can’t say more without spoiling the game, but by the time I did Yennefer’s romance quest, I just couldn’t see these two people together and being happy without some writing device keeping them together.

That’s actually why I liked that you could choose who to love in this game. I haven’t read the books but I did see online that Geralt is pretty much stuck with Yennefer, which is why CD Projekt Red’s decision to let the player choose is so bold!
So for me, it actually was pretty easy. Neither woman is a saint and each has a lot of red in her ledger. However, Triss seemed kinder, gentler, and more prone to asking forgiveness than Yennefer.
And maybe let me put it a different way: Yennefer felt like the girl you’re attracted to in High School… she pretty, everyone else seems to want her, and you feel kinda lucky just to have her. But in college, you meet more wonderful women, you grow up a bit, and when you look back, you see that she was awfully manipulative and not very nice. Meanwhile, Triss felt like that woman you fall in love with right after college. She pretty much knows what she wants, she’s able to hang out, have fun, speak her mind, but isn’t arrogant about it. She knows she’s beautiful, but she just likes to hear you say it.

Why not, right? Vote here, I'm curious http://strawpoll.me/4856044

Heh :P , lets see what is the result. I cast my vote on triss ofc. Btw , why can you dislike both of them , but there is no option about liking both of them?

I've choose YEN in my 1st run just to see the ending with her. My heart belong to Triss. My body belongs to all other females in the world. My name is Geralt The Penissaur of Rivia

27 votes, getting some interesting data but we can do better *up*

I get the feeling that people like Triss because she more or less throws herself at you, where as Yen is the opposite. Two contrasting scenes cemented Yennefer as my permanent LI: When Triss briefly tortures the redanian spy, she struggles with it intensely. Geralt is more or less aloof, with the ability to actually compliment her on her effectiveness (which doesn't go well). Yennefer needs information from a dead man and uses the Power from a Sacred Tree to cast a necromantic spell; a spell banned by ethics, morality, and nature. Geralt, at no point, was particularly OK with this process. But neither was Yennefer. She did it anyway, and probably slept fine after the information ran its course.

Triss Triumph in the poll, Poor Yen Tough choice , i want to both of them, but if really really have to pick one, then Triss is my lassie in the end, cuz it is better to get along with someone who trying to win Geralt's heart, rather than someone slightly self centered like Yen...

Like in the books, I truly believe Geralt be
