A jewel in a crown: a must-have for Wanda Maximoff and House of M fans alike. Enjoy it with tea.
The overall story arc was great, and the individual stories were unique. The art in each comic was a different style, and they all represented each story well.
It's more or less a magic themed police procedural with Wanda as Columbo, only without Colombo's humor and charm. None of the villains Wanda encounters are a threat to her, each bad guy is easily dispatched 3 or 4 panels after their introduction! Supposedly, Wanda has to "fix witchcraft" on this journey but it's so vague that I am not even sure what she did or how it was broken in the first place. The only enjoyable story is the visit to the psychiatrist.
Comprehensive and magnificent. The artwork was captivating and mesmerizing as the style transitioned from story to story. Great storytelling with compelling artistic panels. I LOVED IT
crappy art and crappy stories , high price . not worth money spent , went in trash. can't amazon sell better books.
As another reviewer wrote, it is Scarlet Columbo, Columbo without the humor. Also, there's an annoying trope in comics these days where "dead" is just a temporary thing. It's hard to be worked up over a killed character when you can be pretty sure some miracle will occur and the ghost will get its body back, better than ever. It is fun and beautiful, but not magnificent.
Good stories and a good treatment of Wanda. Read this series and the two Vision and the Scarlet Witch series from the 1980s if you are looking to know the character better.

Scarlet Witch might just be my new favourite superhero
I split it into 3 parts when I was reading and did mini reviews as I went along. 1-5 I didnt know a lot about the Scarlet Witch before I started but I feel like this collection was a great start into understanding her. I loved the way she embraced her flaws and sought to atone for the wrongs she had done in the past, always seeking to better herself and the world. I'm excited to see where her story goes. 6-10 I like the variety of stories in the Scarlet Witch; each of the collected stories has it's own villain and it's own resolution, with an underlying story tying them together which suits me very well. I also love the strength of conviction that she has, even when it is those closest to her that are trying to turn her from her mission. 11-15 Another collection of amazing stories about the Scarlet Witch. At last she has return to her Roma roots, we learn more about her origins and her tragic past, and she kicks some ass. Loved it!

Is it any Wanda
Coming to this series you may be looking for different things. You may be wanting to read some Scarlet Witch after watching Wandavision. You may, like me, be a big fan of writer James Robinson. Regardless of your preconception, what you will get is a is a supernatural mystery thriller. Nearly every issue sees Wanda in a new location, a new threat to face or puzzle to explore and a new artist every time to (quite deliberately it seems) give each setting and story a slightly different feel. There also seems to be an effort to have international artists draw stories set in their own countries which is a nice touch. The trade off here is that the overall tale can feel slightly uneven. Variety over consistency. My other criticism is that the emphasis does feel more on the escapades than the charactet of Wanda. She's not without development and depth, but far less so than in Robinson's other works. Another trade off is that the travelogue nature of the storytelling is that there are fewer recurring characters to attach to than you might hope to carry a story of this length through. If you go in with the right expectations and treat this as its own thing, something different to Wandavision then there's a lot of fun to be had here. You don't need much comics knowledge to jump in either, which is a huge bonus if you ask me. Steve Dillon contributes to the art on the Ireland chapter. Must be some of his last published work before he passed away. Rest in peace.

Grasp Exceeds Its Reach...but Still Very Good Read
The notion of magic being broken, namely witchcraft is at the heart of this story. We get a nice deep delve into Wanda Maximoff and what makes her tick. This is a redemptive tale featuring the character's knowledge and angst over her own wrong doings as well as the toll magic takes on her. The quest for reconnection with her past nicely melds into the central narrative. The varying art styles by times gives a frayed feel to the overall tone, but again...matters are ultimately frayed. Ultimately the introspective view of Wanda's life made for a deep read if not always a fun one.

Leila del Duca is a comic book artist and writer living in Portland, Oregon. She drew WONDER WOMAN: TEMPEST TOSSED, SLEEPLESS, SHUTTER and wrote AFAR at Image Comics. Leila has also drawn for series such as THE WICKED + THE DIVINE, SCARLET WITCH, AMERICAN VAMPIRE, and THE PANTHEON PROJECT. Her client list includes DC, Marvel, Vertigo, Image Comics, ONI Press, BOOM! Studios, IDW, and National Geographic. In 2015 and 2016, Leila was nominated for the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award for her work on SHUTTER. She is a member of two comic artist collectives in Portland: Helioscope and Bitch Corp.
Leila is part of a comic artist collective in downtown Portland, called Helioscope, where she spends most of her work week. During her spare time, she loves to make food, read, dabble in music, and do craft projects especially during the Portland rainy months. She also loves staring off into space and considers it her favorite past time.
