Wisconsin Badgers Football Announces New Coaching Staff Ahead of 2024 Season

Madison, WI — October 25, 2023 — The Wisconsin Badgers football program is ushering in a new era as they officially introduced their revamped coaching staff for the 2024 season. The announcement comes after a challenging 2023 campaign that saw the team finish with a 7-6 record, prompting Athletic Director Chris McIntosh to make significant changes to the program’s leadership.

Head Coach Luke Fickell, who took over the reins in 2022, will remain at the helm, but he will be joined by several new faces on the coaching staff. Most notably, the Badgers have hired former NFL offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan as their new offensive coordinator, replacing Phil Longo. Sullivan, who previously worked with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, brings a wealth of experience and a reputation for developing dynamic passing attacks—a area where Wisconsin has historically struggled.
