I emailed tech support and received no reply. Otherwise the product works well and I would have given it 5 stars if support had responded.

The SereneLife IP-CAM HD15 can broadcast up to 1280x720 video at 30 fps. That’s HD, but not as detailed as 1080p or 4K. The camera is designed to be used outdoors, and has both motion detection and infrared night vision, so it works well as a surveillance camera. It is relatively small and unobtrusive, and stylish. It’s easy to set up and easy to mount anywhere. It comes with an AC adapter of course, but with a 12V battery supply you could literally use it anywhere, even as a game camera. It comes with 16 GB of on-board storage (mine came with 32GB, about 29 GB available), and it supports up to a 64 GB microSD card. You can connect it to your network by Ethernet or by WiFi at 2.4 GHz. It’s easy to monitor and record the camera using any computer, tablet or smart phone. The camera offers a good view of nearby and distant objects in the daytime, and a reasonable distance at night for surveillance purposes, but it loses clarity quickly if you zoom in digitally. Overall, I’d say it’s a good camera for keeping an eye on things where you are not.

This camera is pretty cool! Got it set up I just got a metal outside all weather electrical box and a metal waterproof flat cover to go over it used some self taping screws and screwed the camera to the cover my plan was to put the wires thru the side port on the box and then run a power cord extension cable into the house to the power adaptor only issue was the network plug in on the camera was to big to pass thru the ports on the box 😒! I improvised a little and made it work but I had to leave the network plug outside and just electrical taped it up! Wish the cable harness to the camera just had a plug or was easily removed for better wire management! I found setup to be easy enough and the overall video quality is very good! App is Fairly decent! Motion detection is pretty good on high setting the camera goes off when a car goes by in the road about 80ft away! I recommend it! Would have given it 5 stars by really didn't care for the except cable setup!

I needed a camera that would detect something happening outside and record it. The set up is not bad, but I'm pretty familiar with setting up devices on a network. There's some discrepancy between the printed documentation that comes with it and the app that you used. I'm on a Mac, iPad, and iPhone. I got it working. The outside event I wanted to monitor is feral pigs coming onto the property at night. I set the capture for the night time hours. It records 30 minute segments of video and you can set it to take photos for activities (like pigs). The videos show red sections in the time bar, presumably showing activities. Those red bars also have photos roughly corresponding in time. Good. But a lot of the time it's not clear what triggered the photo and the accompanying red bars. Some pigs were captured on the video. Never on the photos. I was only able to discover the pigs by jumping from spot to spot on the video. It is a painful process because the video is on the camera and it has to stream from the camera, and you wait as it buffers. The apps are okay, but the Web UI is pretty bad. It doesn't offer a way to delete videos, for example. On the apps, you have to delete videos and photos one by one. I ended up formatting the SD card to clear out the night's videos and photos. To test, I even went in front of the camera and walked around. Did it capture me? On video, yes. Did it show a red bar for that time? No. Did it capture a photo? No. I've returned the camera. I'm writing this review to share my experiences. Also, the camera came with an offer that I'd be sent a micro SD card if I sent it a copy on an Amazon review. I'll update with how that goes.

Okay, but is not useful as a security camera to let you know something is happening

Overall: Well-functioning camera with many features and robust app interface. Pros: Both day vision (color visible light) and night vision (black/white using infrared) App interface is easy to use Once set up, the device remembers your network and doesn't require setup again even if you move it to a different location (as long as you're still on the same wifi network) Capability to record, take snapshots to your phone, listen to sound from the camera, and even schedule recordings for certain times Cons: Interface on the actual camera itself is a little challenging (luckily, you only have to set it up once) Speaker on the camera is fairly garbled (that is, you'll be able to make noises from your phone with it, but anyone listening will have a hard time making out what you're saying) After being plugged back in, camera takes 1-2 minutes to come back online Mounting the camera can be difficult without proper tools.

The camera works as advertised. It provides day and night live feed and alerts, and the instructions do provide the information necessary to install the camera. However, I had a question concerning the recordings created by alerts and I submitted the question to their tech support. Aside from an auto-response email when I opened the ticket, there was no response. I then had an issue with downloading a recording to my PC (I couldn't get it to play on my PC), so I submitted the issue to tech support and to Ryan P. at askpyle@gmail.com. Again, no response from either, in spite of the fact that Ryan had sent me a separate email saying that I should send an email to him if I was not able to get my issue resolved. I would have given the camera a 5-star rating, but the lack of tech support brings the rating down to a 3 since I consider support to be critical when the product is in a technical category such as this one. If I do get any response from them, I will update this review.
