When searching for a lightweight double stroller, weight and folded dimensions are important factors to take into consideration. Selecting a stroller that is easy to maneuver and compact when not when not in use makes it much easier to put into the trunk of your car and navigate through airport gates and foreign streets.
The best lightweight strollers have an easy, intuitive fold that lets them stand up on their own. This reduces stress on the parent's body. Many strollers have different seating options and some are able to accommodate infant car seats.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Designed for the family traveling. Compact and light weight, it has the ability to fold in one hand. The front suspension and all-terrain wheels as well as the multi-position reclining seat, can be used for children up to 50 pounds. Parent and child trays, large storage basket and 3-tier canopy that has a windows that peek out to maximize sun protection.
The Cloud received one of the lowest marks in our tests of quality because it has a weak seat made of hard plastic and a design which feels dated. It's also expensive compared to other strollers with lighter weights which is why it's not the best choice when you're looking for a low-cost option.
It's not the most light stroller but it has enough features that it is worth a look. Its swiveling front wheels make it easy to maneuver on flat surfaces and it can jump curbs with little effort, unlike many other lightweight strollers that veer off course when trying to do the similar thing. The low handle of the Cloud is a disadvantage however, as it's at knee height and not adjustable. It's not comfortable to push with your legs suspended in the air like that and it's also not helping that it's not padded.
In our tests, we discovered that the Cloud was simple to set up and open. Close it can be a bit more difficult. You have to slide the slider before you press a large white button. This can be frustrating particularly if you're trying to keep track of children while doing it.
The Cloud comes with a compact but deep storage basket. It's big enough to fit a large diaper bag. It's a little narrow, though, and you'll likely have to put something in to reach back to retrieve it. The Cloud includes an adult tray and a child tray, each with two cup holders. But both are too small for larger bottles or cups.
Kolcraft is a family-owned business that has been operating since 1946. They started out making diapers and crib pads and now they produce a variety of baby products, such as highchairs and infant car seats. The company is located in Chicago, and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist design, which is perfect for trips. It's super light at just 18lbs (lighter than some single strollers!) and it folds flat for easy transportation and storage. It also comes with independently reclined seats and large all-weather SPF50 sun visors with peekaboo windows and extra-large under-seat storage bags. The visors are adjustable to accommodate children of various heights. It also features a parking brake that is linked in one step and is Disney-sized approved.

The stroller does not accept car seats so your kids should be at least 6 months old and have solid neck control in order to ride in the front seat. Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is another incredibly lightweight stroller with a side by side. It's heavier than Kolcraft Cloud Plus, at 23 pounds. However, it's tinier and thinner (26.5 inches wide!) and has a ton of luxurious features that make it ideal for travel. It folds easily, very maneuverable, and can easily fit into overhead compartments as well as trunks of planes.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, similar to the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It's similar to Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but it has a few distinct differences. It's also a bit more expensive, but it offers better maneuverability and has the largest sun canopy. It also comes with a handy carry strap and can hold kids up to 44 lbs per seat.
Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a stroller that is light packed with features. It's not only crazy lightweight at 13 lbs, but it comes with plenty of storage in the form of child and parent cup holders, a sippy cup for children pocket and a parent storage pocket, and more. This stroller is also able to fit a child's car seat and comes with a brake that is easy to engage that is flip-flop friendly. It's designed to adapt to your kids from a baby stroller to an adult stroller by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children aged 6 months old and up.
Another thing to consider about this stroller is that it only has swivel wheels and doesn't have any locking features, so it might not be the best choice for rocky or sloping terrain. It maneuvers well on sidewalks that are paved and other smooth surfaces, however it's an excellent option for most families.

It also comes with a large canopy which we found to be better at blocking out sun than some other options in our best double strollers review.
The stroller is light enough to be able to maneuver through door frames. This was a major issue with other models we tested. It folds easily and the handlebars sit close to the ground. The only downside is its limited storage space. When full of stuff for the kids it feels squeezed.
