Cheers, Doc

when i read all this sh*t from India, only think of two words THANKS JINNAH amazing that some indians here are actually proud and care less

Really do such bastards exist...may be among the most corrupt people aka elite because when you consume haram for long, haram will be the output and envelope your whole life.

You didn't need to explain because we know what this swapping thing is. Basically exchange of partners for intimate relations. That is a sufficient definition. But this is a very shameless act. And making it a culture in a professional setup is a crime especially against the unwilling partners. That's really disgusting. I'm not conservative but I'm against any sex outside the formal marriage properly declared and celebrated.

This kind of interactions make us realise that despite we share some language, some aspects of culture and foods, we are very very different people thanks to our religion. Even the our liberals like @SecularNationalist and @Indus Pakistan (not the libturds like NS, AZ, Ayyan Ali, Maryam Nawaz, Sharmila Farooqi ) are pretty conservative and that has definitely to do with Islam because of the culture in their families.

You are way too cloaked in the supposed cultural supremacy of your faith to actually recognise the real world around you.

Cheers, Doc

That's because our faith is the way of nature so it makes one realistic and preserve the designs of the nature.

I'm not getting into a theological discussion with you. If I want to discuss Islam (usually historical, rarely conceptual) there are a few others I do enjoy talking to. Not encumbered by hypocrisy, and with clear thinking, albeit partial to their own ancestral narrative.

You on the other hand are pretty typical of desis, both Hindu and Muslim, who find themselves far far away from their cultural moorings, and tend to overcompensate to somehow feel ok about how alien and detached you actually feel in the environment you live in.

Cheers, Doc

Mate, you got it wrong..I'm not discussing it with you, I'm educating you since you don't know.

I think people are confusing very different things.

Sexual favours granted under duress in return for professional favours, or to avoid professional discrimination is different from swinging/wife swapping. The former is a criminal act, the latter is a "choice".

In Indian society the former is illegal, the latter merely a taboo. You have to remember hindu society historically has been very sexually liberal. They have carvings of a raunchy nature in temples, they even have temples where women work in the trade of the flesh as an act of worship. In some parts of the country where women are few and far between, even brothers share a single wife.

From the article, it looks like Indian military does both and blurs the lines in between.

I am not one bit surprised if the swapping culture exists in some kinky fringe of Pakistani society. sexual deviance is nothing new, and in a society which is increasingly watching p0rn, i'm not suprised some might want to watch it "live". This is something which has increased in western society due to the increase in consumption of p0rn. People are addicted and aroused more by viewing than participating.

It's very dangerous territory mentally.

I am politically secular liberal but privately a very conservative Muslim*. I would put a bullet in my head and my wifes head before even contemplating such a filthy, degenerate thing as wife swapping.

I am well aware that my moorings are derived from Islam and in particular the mores related to family life. I think Islam has much going for it in respect to private life. People think that because I oppose the use of religion in public/political life that I am against Islam. Far from it. I think you hold your faith close to your heart and no go around spitting it at others. But having said this there is always a naturalplay between faith, culture, law in the political matrix of any nation.

*Conservative - which of course is informed by religious values.

Kochi: Indian Navy “wife-swapping scandal” takes new turn. Complaint wife of officer being harassed by police while Indian Army trying to snub media not to report the case, reports Dispatch News desk (DND).
In April 2013, wife of a Indian Navy officers in Kochi alleged that there is deep insecurity among wives of Indian naval force because there are attempts and scandals of wife swapping in the Kochi Naval Base.
Now in first week of August New Delhi in implicating this 25-year-old wife of Naval officer who is a language student from Jawaharlal Lal Nehru University on charges of forgery following her case against her Navy officer husband for coercing her into participating in “wife-swapping evenings”, south district police have said they have enough evidence to charge sheet her.
“She applied for two credit cards using a fake belt number which she ascribed to her estranged husband. The naval commanding officer’s name she had mentioned in her application form was found to be fake and so were the signatures,” said an investigating officer.
The woman was arrested in Mumbai earlier in another case of cheating, police said. Vasant Vihar police will now be visiting Mumbai to collect details. Her husband is posted in Kochi naval base. Police said that they made sure she was not unnecessarily held at the station. “Even though it was late at night we did not oppose her bail,” added the officer.
DCP (South) B S Jaiswal said they acted after receiving a complaint that the woman, who had recently taken admission in the first year at JNU, had submitted forged documents to SBI’s IIT branch to acquire a credit card. He added that since the woman used Navy emblems, a charge under the Emblem and Name (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950 has been slapped on her. Kamini Jaiswal, the victim’s lawyer, said the “incident smacks of victimization”. “She was picked up from her rented residence in Jia Sarai. She was not even allowed to wear her slippers,” she said.
It may be mentioned that in April 2013, a scandal has erupted at the Naval Base in Kochi, headquarters of the Southern Naval Command, with the Kochi Harbour Police registering cases against some senior Naval officials on a compliant of the wife of a Lieutenant that he used to force her to go to bed with senior officials and that wife-swapping among senior officials was rampant at the base.
As per the complaint lodged by the woman, a native of Odisha who lived in Delhi before marriage, she was being harassed both physically and mentally by her husband, a Lieutenant, his senior officials and their wives for questioning the immoral goings-on at the Naval Base. However, the Navy claimed that this was only a case of marital discord.
The Kochi Harbour Police have booked one Commodore, four Lieutenants including the husband, three of his relatives, a Captain and his wife under sections of laws concerning domestic violence, attempted sexual abuse, coercion for sexual abuse, torture and unlawful custody. But the Navy termed her charges against the senior officers as “unfair”.
The Lieutenant’s wife said that she was being harassed by him, his senior officials and even their wives for not subjecting herself to the sexual fancies of the seniors. “Some of the officials had tried to assault me sexually and it was these people who had cut my hair,” she said.
The woman, who had come to Kochi from New Delhi a year ago following her husband’s transfer here, said that the evening parties being held at the Naval Base regularly were venues for immoral interactions among the participants and that her husband used to force her to sleep with senior officials after such parties.
“They are swapping wives… I tried to complain about what happened to me but nobody listened.
The Navy is protecting them,” she said while talking to the media. The woman, who is presently staying with a friend in Kochi, is reportedly planning to approach the High Court as the police might have limitations in dealing with a case involving top Navy brass.
The husband, first accused as per the FIR, told the Harbour Police that his wife was having mental disturbances but he could not produce any evidence with regard to his claim. “After all, there seems to be some substance in the woman’s complaint,” said a police official. The husband and others have approached the High Court for anticipatory bail.
The Navy claimed that the woman was “dragging her ‘estranged’ husband’s colleagues – who had tried to resolve the issues dogging the couple’s personal life – into the vortex of their unhappy relationship.” A Naval release said on Wednesday that the force “will cooperate with the law enforcement agencies to ensure speedy completion of the investigation.”
“I once saw my husband with the wife of a Captain, his senior officer. When I tried to make an issue out of this, I was locked up in a room by my husband and the Captain’s wife,” the woman told the media.
She said she had contacted Defence Minister AK Antony’s house but was advised to lodge a complaint in the form a formal letter for which she neither had the convenience nor the time. Following this, she said, she tried to lodge a complaint directly with the Commander-in-Chief of Naval staff at the Naval Base but that attempt also was met with failure.

News India News Husband's seniors molested me, Navy officer’s wife alleges
Himanshi Dhawan / TNN / Updated: Apr 12, 2013, 03:45 IST
NEW DELHI: Drawn by his handsome looks and six-pack, IIT-Bombay graduate Sumedha (name changed) quit her Morgan Stanley career to get married only to see her dreams shattered within a few months. Not only did she witness her Navy officer husband in a compromising position with a senior officer’s wife but was told that she too would have to be part of the " wife-swapping evenings" if she wanted her husband to keep his job. "When I saw my husband with the other lady I started to cry and question my husband. The woman instead shouted at me, slapped me and threatened me with dire consequences if I did not keep quiet," the 25-year-old said. The Navy has flatly denied the allegations with defence minister A K Antony seeking a report on the matter. Sumedha, who was living with her husband in Kochi, reached Delhi late on Thursday evening. Remarkably calm and collected, she recalled how her frantic calls to the Southern Naval Command , residences of Chief of Naval Staff and the defence minister went unanswered. Sumedha, who is preparing for her civil services, said 20-30% of naval officers indulged in wife-swapping. "There are parties every day and the women wear very revealing, almost vulgar clothes. I found later that wife-swapping was common there," she said. When asked how she could substantiate her allegations, Sumedha said, "I know what I have seen. There has been a complaint filed earlier about wife-swapping in 2011 on INS Dronacharya but the officers involved were posted out and the issue buried." Sumedha, who has filed a complaint with the Harbour police station in Kochi and the Vasant Vihar police station in Delhi, said she was molested by senior officers in the presence of her husband. "I was bound down and molested my three of my husband’s colleagues. My husband then threw me out of the house," she said. She added that the only time her husband had shown remorse was when he told her that he had to indulge in this "wife-swapping" or he would lose his job. "Officers and sailors, they were all afraid to say anything or come to my rescue because they feared being thrown out of the Navy," she said. When asked about allegations that she was mentally unstable, Sumedha said, "How can a marriage counselor certify my mental fitness. Anyway, where is the proof that I even went to a counselor?" On the Navy’s denial of her allegations, Sumedha said, "It doesn’t matter what they say. I know the truth. I have already asked my lawyer to take up the issue with the police." She also claimed that she had been offered Rs 2 crore to settle the matter. Defence minister A K Antony has sought a report from the Navy on the allegations even as naval officials said they had already launched a probe. The defence minister's office, however, said they were yet to receive a formal complaint though the lieutenant's wife insisted that she had sent a complaint to the minister through registered post in the first week of March but had not received any response. An Southern Naval Command official confirmed it had launched an investigation. "The Chief of Naval Staff ’s office has asked for a report, based on the lady’s complaint a week ago," the official said. In a statement, the Navy said, "The wife of the officer has leveled unfair allegations against superior officers in her husband’s chain of command, their spouses and other officers who have interacted with her. These officers accompanied by their respective spouses had tried to unsuccessfully resolve the issues dogging the couple’s personal life in a bid to leverage the strength of the naval community bond. Unfortunately, the lady had resorted to such methods of dragging her estranged spouse’s colleagues into the vortex of their unhappy relationship in the past too in other units in which her husband has served. The couple was also sent to a marriage counselor under the aegis of the Navy Wives Welfare Association ."
