“The Wife” recently treated viewers to one of the most explicit sex scenes in recent memory between Zandile (played by Khanyi Mbau) and Nkosana (played by Mondli Makhoba).
The racy scene has been circulating on social media over the past few hours and has scene fans debating fiercely about whether the two actors had actual sex while shooting the scene.
This comes after Mbau unleashed a series of tweets on Wednesday in which she acknowledged fans' disappointment at the season, and was critical of the show's current direction.
"We have let you down, we have not given you what you had anticipated: a love story between Zandile and Nkosana," she said.
"That’s what we all hoped to experience. Season 1 had all the romance a wife should experience with her better half and we watched them develop into a married couple and it gave us all the feels."
"Meanwhile, season two hasn't given us enough love and companionship from Zandile and Nkosana, she went on to add. "And that’s why you are all so disappointed, I am too."
Perhaps this rant was bait to get fans to tune in and witness this racy new chapter.

A STEAMY sex scene on The Wife, that left tongues wagging on social media, has overshadowed the fact that Khanyi Mbau openly agreed that the show had missed the mark.
The actress, who plays Zandile on the second season of the show, has thanked his boyfriend Kudzai Mutsonga for all the support he has given her.
“Your level of support baby, the way you let me chase my dreams and want to see me become the best in all I do is incredible and honestly the wind beneath my wind. My silent cheerleader and fighter, my family, my guide. How do you do it? Truly beats me. My love, hubby and heart; thank you for remaining constant,” she wrote.
The sex, where Khanyi and actor Mondli Makhoba bared it all and left many thinking they really did have sex on screen, left people asking how the actress’ billionaire boyfriend was feeling.
Khanyi then took to social media and clapped back at the haters, telling them that they needed to get partners who were understanding.
“Guys, get a man like mine who cheers for you and supports you; real men do that,” she said.
The clap back also came after one fan said Khanyi had posted her man out of guilt as the sex scene started trending soon after the episode was aired.
