Carla S. Pennington was born and raised in Prichard, Alabama where she continues to reside with her family. In 1995, she graduated from Mattie T. Blount High School, an all black school. She became a teen mother in 1992 and was advised that she couldn t return to school for an entire semester after giving birth. This devastated Carla, but she refused to be held back. Her dedication and hard work paid off. She ranked number five in her graduating class and received an advanced diploma with honors. In 2002, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in journalism from SpringHill College in Mobile, Alabama. After graduation, Carla decided not to pursue her career in journalism. Her heart and mind was set elsewhere. She wanted to write fiction novels and short stories, something that she had been doing since she was a young girl. In 2005, Carla published her first novel, Fling and from there several short stories which appeared in anthologies across the country. Finally, she landed a deal with Life Changing Books which is set to release the wildly anticipated novel, the Available Wife in January 2011. In 1996, Carla was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Over the years, the disease has halted her, but she refuses to let it stop her. She is currently working on a number of other projects that she plans to have published in the near future. --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

Nikki continue to be ip to her old tricks no matter if that means hurting someone else in the mean time just as long as she gets what she wants. Starting where book one ended with Nikki's boys gone with their dad as she tries to make sure she stays out of jail. Nikki has everything stripped away from her from her money, company, house, kids, husband and cars to the point she ends up at the one person's house she can't stand to be around her mom. With Nikki plotting to get revenge on A.J, her husband and her sister Jalisa she will do whatever it takes. With secrets being told your mouth will drop with every new secret. Now wondering will Nikki keep being ip to her old tricks or did she learn. Hmmm wondering with there be a number 3. :) Great read I enjoyed it. Really didn't care for her dad and they crazy secret that was told there and with Cliff crazy actions to why he did what he did. But, overall great book.
Niquole "Nikki" Wright, self-proclaimed BITCH is back with a vengeance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Niquole is fighting for her life and sanity trying to stay out of jail for allegedly shooting Kingston and keeping her record label Kingquole. Along with that fight there is the constant fight that she is having to keep everything that she feels that she deserves, including her husband Germaine and her sons from her sneaky sister Jalisa. They say payback is a mutha so when Niquole feels like it is time to inflict some payback to anybody and everybody who has done her wrong (in her mind) she is headstrong and determined to make EVERYBODY suffer!!!!!! Only thing that Niquole doesn't realize is that karma is also a BITCH! Carla Pennington and this cast of characters will have you on the verge of hurting yourself so that you can read and complete this book. It is, in my opinion, more high-powered and energy filled than Part 1 but that is ABSOLUTELY the beauty of sequels, they just get better and better and better!!!!!! OUTSTANDING JOB CARLA, KUDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes sequels and trilogies don't compare to the original one, but bay-bay "The Available Wife 2" can sit right next to the first one and compete on which one is the best. Surprisingly I found myself liking Niquole a.k.a Nikki in the first half of the book. A woman with revenge on her mind and how she goes about it is very intriguing (in books and movies), but as usual I started disliking her again lol. Nikki stops at nothing to get what she wants and will use whoever she can to make her plan fall through. Even though one of the big secrets with her father was predictable, the book was great from beginning to end and had more twists than turns than a roller coaster, but unlike some of the other readers, I don't want a book 3. Some books don't need all of the continuations. I HIGHLY recommend this book and the first to everyone and I can't wait to read what comes next from this writer's pen.
I could not stop reading this book. Both part 1 and 2 are addictive. It was the excitement that I needed.
This was really good with a lot of drama. I wish there was a part three so the story would be wrapped up. I have questions. There must be more.
This book was just okay. I wanted to give it 2 stars, but it's not like I didn't like it but it was just okay. To me it felt like part 2 was written by someone else. I really enjoyed the 1st book but 2 focused solely on Nikki and no one else's character was developed. At times the book did not flow and was very choppy. Some of the actions taken by Nikki didn't make sense and her emotions were all over the place and irrational. I think towards the end of the book the author started to rush and she started throwing in stupid revelations that added nothing to the book. I think the author could have taken the time to really develop the ending instead of taking the easy way out with most of the main characters. I expected more from this book and it just didn't live up to part 1. Please don't do a part 3!
This story will make you keep reading. Nikki was a cold hearted B. But I liked her. Nobody had morals except Mom.
I love sequels that are just as good as the first book. Carla Pennington did not disappoint in the sequel. Niquole is back and heartless as ever. The things she will do to stay on top were mind-blowing. I loved every minute of reading this book. There were more secrets that came out and of course Niquole is as devious as ever. I didn't think Niquole could get any more scandalous then she did in the first book but of course she did. Carla Pennington did an excellent job with the writing and development of the story. It had a great flow and was filled with surprises. I would definitely recommend reading both books. You need to read The Available Wife first to get the background information on Niquole.

When it comes to storytelling, Carla Pennington has a natural knack for the craft. Born and raised in Prichard, Alabama, Carla found pleasure in reading at a very early age. Words and stories intrigued her and the writing bug eventually stung her.
Carla published her first book, FLING, in 2005 with a local college professor. Realizing she could take her talents further, in 2007, Carla submitted her novel, The Available Wife, to LifeChangingBooks. It was published and is currently in movie production; book to film.
Carla's catalogue extends anywhere from novels, novellas and short stories. One of her short stories caught the eye of the queen of erotica, Zane. "DIRTY" was published in the erotic anthology, Chocolate Flava 4: Busy Bodies
In December 2020, Carla experienced something many authors dream about. Her novel, The Available Wife, was adapted into a movie. It premiered on ALLBLK (formerly known as UMC.
When her eyes are not scrolling book pages or fingers not tapping keyboard keys, Carla is spending time with her three children and granddaughter whom she cherishes dearly. Reading, writing and family time keeps her going and also helps her deal with her health issues.
At the age of 19, Carla was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It has been a slight struggle having the disease as an unwanted companion, but Carla delves through it. Always a fighter, she refuses to allow the disease to halt her progress in life. Sometimes, MS interferes with writing, but Carla refuses to let it control her life. She will give the disease its time but once her body regains control, Carla is back in the lab churning out page turners for her readers.
