During the premiere, we saw Daemon having a mistress, however, it was also revealed that he is married to Lady Rhea of the House Royce

The premiere of ‘ House of the Dragon ’ introduced us to all the major players of the Targaryen dynasty and the roles they’ll play moving forward. One of the most integral parts of House Targaryen is King Viserys’ brother Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) who was set to become the new heir to the throne. However, things didn’t turn out in the same way that he would have expected them to be and Daemon was sent back to his wife at Runestone by the orders of the king. This was the second instance in the episode that we heard about Prince Daemon ’s wife, but we never get a chance to see her on the screen. Now that he has left the kingdom, along with Caraxes and his mistress, it will be interesting to see how his wife, Lady Rhea Royce, will react once he reaches Runestone. If you are one of those who don’t know much about Lady Royce, don’t worry, we have you covered.
Let’s dig a little deeper to know about Prince Daemon’s wife and what role she plays in ‘Dance of the Dragons’.
Lady Rhea Royce was the Lady of the Runestone and the leader of the House Royce during the reign of King Jaeherys and King Viserys I Targaryen. It was Queen Alysanne Targaryen, the grandmother of Viserys and Daemon, who wanted to have a strong relationship with House Royce and decided to wed her grandson Prince Daemon to Lady Rhea. Although their marriage was considered to be one of the most important steps in the history of both houses, unfortunately, it couldn’t be successful because of Daemon’s personality. According to the book ‘Fire & Blood’, Daemon never liked Vale of Arryn and felt that it was “boring”. Meanwhile, he soon developed a dislike for his wife and started calling her his “bronze b***h”, a mocking reference to the ancient armor of the Royces. The feelings were mutual and Lady Royce didn’t have any love or affection toward Daemon as well. In 101 AC, Lady Royce became the Lady of Runestone and began her reign. On the other hand, Daemon went to his brother King Viserys and asked him to set aside his marriage, but Viserys denied the request. While spending a few days at Westeros, he acquired the Lady Mysaria as a mistress and impregnated her in 105 AC. As we saw in the first episode, Daemon was told to go back to his wife at Runestone and he didn’t disobey his brother’s orders. He went there, along with his mistress.
The relationship became even sour when they met each other again and in a few years, Daemon thought that he has had enough of the Vale and his lady wife and once again, requested Viserys to set aside his marriage. However, this time, he went to the king with a proposal of getting married to the king’s daughter and his niece, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.
In 115 AC, Lady Rhea fell from her horse while hawking and smashed her skull onto a rock. At first, everyone believed that she died instantly, but she lingered for nine days before finally feeling well enough to leave her bed. However, as soon as left her bed, she collapsed on the floor and died within an hour of rising from the bed.
According to reports, Lady Rhea Royce is being portrayed by the ‘Shadow and Bone’ actress Rachel Redford. Even though IMDb and other sites don’t have any information regarding this, Rachel’s Instagram account confirms that she is indeed a part of ‘House of the Dragon’, but it’s not confirmed which role she’s playing. Redford is relatively young in the entertainment industry and began her acting career in 2014 with a movie called ‘The Riot Club’. Since then, she has been a part of titles like ‘The Testament of Youth’, ‘Gap Year', and ‘The Return of the Yuletide Kid’.
Meanwhile, her first major acting role came in 2021 when she was cast as Fruszi in the highly popular Netflix series ‘Shadow & Bone’. It’ll be interesting to which role she plays in HBO’s fantasy epic.
'House of the Dragon' returns to HBO with a new episode every Sunday at 9 pm EST.

First Lady Casey DeSantis is the wife of Florida’s 46th Governor, Ron DeSantis.
The Governor and First Lady DeSantis are loving parents to daughter, Madison (5 years old), son, Mason (4 years old) and daughter, Mamie (2 years old) – who is the first baby born in the Governor’s Mansion in more than 50 years.
First Lady DeSantis has become a champion for fighting cancer in the State of Florida, helping to secure $100 million in recurring funding for cancer research and care in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget. Declared cancer free by doctors in February of 2022 herself, First Lady DeSantis travels the state visiting with patients to draw attention to the importance of early screening and to provide support and hope to families affected by cancer. In honor of her work devoted to this issue, the Florida Legislature recently renamed the Florida Consortium of National Institute Centers Program the “Casey DeSantis Cancer Research Program.”
First Lady DeSantis has also launched four major initiatives since Governor DeSantis was elected.
In September of 2019, First Lady DeSantis spearheaded Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity, Economic Self-Sufficiency and Hope . Implemented through the Department of Children and Families, this initiative is uniting communities through ‘Care Navigators’ who guide Floridians on an individualized path to prosperity by focusing on collaboration between the private sector, faith-based community, nonprofits and government entities – breaking down traditional community silos in an effort to maximize resources and uncover opportunities. Beneficiaries of this initiative include, but are not limited to, single parents, Floridians on government assistance, mothers contending with substance abuse disorders, and children aging out of the foster care system.
In March of 2022, First Lady DeSantis announced that the Hope Florida initiative hit the major milestone of providing family-centered assistance to more than 25,000 Floridians to help them achieve economic self-sufficiency. Any Floridian can learn more about connecting with a Pathway to Prosperity ‘Care Navigator’ by visiting HopeFlorida.com or by calling 850-300-HOPE.
In February of 2021, First Lady DeSantis launched her Resiliency Florida initiative – a partnership with professional sports teams and athletes – including Tom Brady, David Beckham, Peyton Manning, Lou Holtz, Tony Dungy, Urban Meyer, Crystal Thomas, Ali Marpet, Bryant McFadden, Mark Richt, Twan Russell, Corey Simon, Tra Thomas, Jonathan Vilma, Charlie Ward, Tyler Johnson, Joey Logano, Brandon Lowe, and Chris Mueller – to address the stigma surrounding mental health. These teams and athletes are lending their voices and personal stories of resilience and hope to empower Florida students to persevere through adversity.
Additionally, to support the Resiliency Florida initiative, First Lady DeSantis worked with the Department of Education to develop Character Education Standards to be taught in Florida’s K-12 schools. Passed unanimously by the State Board of Education in July of 2021, these are Florida’s first standards for Character Education, setting clear expectations for students and teachers and providing opportunities for students to learn how character contributes to the overall civic health of a society and understand the importance of resiliency, responsibility, and respect.
In December of 2019, First Lady DeSantis launched Florida’s “The Facts. Your Future.” campaign – a public affairs partnership between the Office of the Attorney General, the Florida Department of Health, and the Florida Department of Education. This initiative empowers students with the facts surrounding substance abuse and how it negatively impacts their lives. In March of 2022, First Lady DeSantis announced a major new phase of the initiative – the launch of a digital media campaign to send information to students through social media platforms, as well as a standalone website that contains “ The Facts. Your Future.” content: TheFactsYourFuture.org .
First Lady DeSantis’ first major announcement was the Hope for Healing Florida initiative in May of 2019, which brought together stakeholders statewide to discuss new community-level solutions to address mental illness and substance abuse with emphasis on resources for children, veterans and first responders. The Hope for Healing website helps navigate the many ways Floridians can access available resources.
First Lady DeSantis attended the College of Charleston in South Carolina, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and was a member of the International Economics Honors Society. There, she competed on the equestrian team and placed runner-up at the Division I NCAA National Championships. Additionally, she is a three-time national champion equestrian outside of school. Following her graduation from college, First Lady DeSantis worked for the PGA Tour as a producer and on-air host. Additionally, she worked for two Florida television stations in Jacksonville, where she held positions ranging from general assignment reporter, police beat reporter, weekend anchor, and morning anchor. She had the privilege of covering numerous military stories including deployments on the USS John F. Kennedy, the last conventionally-powered aircraft carrier, and the USS Florida, a cruise missile submarine. For her work in television, First Lady DeSantis received an Emmy Award for on-air talent and two Emmy nominations: one for an investigative series called Real Life CSI and one for a documentary called Champion, The JT Townsend Story.

SINCE Donald Trump left the White House in early 2021, his wife Melania Trump has been conspicuously absent from the public eye.
But behind the scenes, the former First Lady has been working on projects including charity fundraising, and signs indicate her husband's potential presidential run may bring her back into the spotlight.
The Trumps started their year in a non-traditional way, choosing not to attend President Joe Biden's inauguration.
Melania sightings were few and far between through the rest of winter and early spring, primarily brief appearances at Mar-a-Lago.
She attended a GOP fundraiser at the resort in April and was well-received by the appreciative audience, who cheered as she and the former President debuted.
She was also seen at dinners with her husband Donald through the spring, assuaging rumors that the couple would split up--but in June, speculation returned in full force.
At a birthday party for Donald Trump, Melania was nowhere to be seen, leading some to double down on the rumors that the couple had gone their separate ways.
Melania was spotted leaving Trump Tower in New York City consistently through the summer and fall.
Much of the model and entrepreneur's online presence has been focused on her charity work, supporting Republican leaders, and recognizing national holidays.
But in September, she slammed Stephanie Grisham after sources said her former aide's book reveals "secrets about Donald even she doesn't know."
According to Grisham, during the unrest at the Capitol on January 6, she asked if the First Lady wanted to tweet that "peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence."
Melania was helping to prep for a photoshoot of a rug she had selected at the time of the siege, according to Grisham.
Hours later Grisham would resign from her role.
The former first lady issued a strongly worded statement following news of the explosive memoir, blasting Grisham's "poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior."
Melania made a public appearance alongside Donald Trump on Saturday, October 30, at game four of the 2021 World Series in Atlanta, Georgia.
As the Atlanta Braves battled back-and-forth with the Houston Astros, Melania was viewed smiling alongside her husband.
However, a clip of the first lady turning away, grimacing and rolling her eyes went viral, with Twitter users pointing to the new "reaction gif" as hard evidence of the former first lady's attempts to distance herself from Donald Trump.
"Who else gets the feeling that Melania can't stand the sight of her husband," former Obama regional campaign chair, Jon Cooper, tweeted afterward.
In October of 2020, Trump's former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman claimed in a conversation with the Daily Mail that a split was certain between the Trumps, and claimed that Melania was repulsed by her husband .
"What I have observed in the last 17 years would make your head spin," she said.
"Sometimes they like each other but sometimes she is repulsed by him."
White House sources told CNN that Melania would not be in favor of Trump throwing his hat in the ring once more and " just wants to go home " to the Florida resort.
The source familiar with the first lady's state of mind said Trump entering the 2024 election race "might not go over well" with his wife.
However, Melania Trump claims that she will be "right there" beside Donald if he runs again in 2024 , an adviser has said.
“The only thing that Trump cares about these days is golf and Melania. And if she doesn't want him to run, then it’s going to be pushing a big rock up the hill,” the adviser told Politico.
“I don’t think politics is her thing. She doesn’t like the game," the adviser admitted.
Sources close to the family say Melania is focusing on her family, especially her son Barron who is now attending school in Palm Beach.
However, in December, Melania closed out 2021 by announcing a foray into the world of NFTs.
A non-fungible token called "Melania's Vision" will feature a watercolor painting of the titular model's "cobalt blue" eyes.
For the price of one SOL, a cryptocurrency on the Solana blockchain , collectors can possess the celebrity NFT, which a statement described as an "amulet to inspire."
In the statement, The Office of Melania Trump said that the limited-edition NFT will only be available for purchase between December 16 and 31, and that the first piece is a preview of what's to come on her exclusive NFT platform.
"Through this new technology-based platform, we will provide children computer science skills, including programming and software development, to thrive after they age out of the foster community," Melania said in a statement.
Proceeds from the NFT collection will go towards the Be Best campaign, and will "assist children aging out of the foster care system by way of economic empowerment."
Melania also hinted at an upcoming auction in 2022 which will include "digital artwork, physical artwork, and a one-of-a-kind accessory."
