I don't write many reviews at all, as it stands I think I've only written one other review although tripadvisor is the first place I go to before deciding to travel to a new location. I felt this experience worthy of a review for anyone who many be on the fence about it. My wife and I had talked about visiting South Beach but were discouraged with the amount of traffic and people who we knew we were going to encounter. I looked up a beach closer to where we were staying and Haulover Beach came up. It sparked my interest because I've always been interested in visiting a clothing optional beach but wasnt sure if we'd ever get the guts to try it. I spoke with my wife about it and she was naturally nervous about it since she's never even gone topless somewhere. I assured her that due to the reviews I felt comfortable coming here and told her that if we got there and she didnt feel comfortable with it then we could just leave and head to South Beach. We were immediately impressed with out clean the beach was. The sand was clean and white, the water was clear and blue. The beach had lots of people on it but you wouldnt know it by the little amount of noise. Everyone kept to themselves and it was truly tranquil. Anyhow, we decided to stay and my wife took a look around and felt totally fine taking off her top. There was no one ogling or making us feel uncomfortable. There was a review years ago that said they were approached by people but we didnt experience that at all nor did we see anyone bothering anyone else. To my surprised my wife started enjoying the freedom of it all and decided to sun bathe without her bottoms after seeing I had taken mine off. No one at all seemed to care. There was a mix of age groups, I'd say the ratio was 75% older couples to 25% younger couples. I was fine with this because one of my fears was that the place would be full of old men staring at my wife making her uncomfortable. That wasnt the case at all. Needless to say after it was all said and done we decided that this wasnt going to be the only time we visit and next time we'll try and bring another couple with us. Like others have mentioned make sure and park at the northern most parking to save yourself a walk. Parking was 7$ I think, it may have been less. You'll park on the west side of the beach and walk under a tunnel to get to the ocean. If you go that route you'll see signs to the left the moment you walk on the beach indicating which side is the clothing optional side. Bring snacks and water. Just for your frame of reference we're a couple in our early 30s.
I honelsty did not know what to expect from this beach as it is just south of Sunny isles beaches which were full of seaweed. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it is beautiful. Snad is not as fine but it is white and no seaweed which was great. The water is so clear and you can actually see some small fish swimming around. There is parking available ($7 for the day) as well as showers to rinse and a nice trail along the beach in case you are interested in walking/running. Would definitely go back to visit this beach!
I had never been to a nude beach, but it was a great experience. My boyfriend and I went together and found that there are bodies of all shapes and sizes and everyone is very respectful. No one stared or made us feel uncomfortable in any way. It really was just the same as being at a clothed beach, except you get to the feel the sun and water on all of your skin! I can't wait to go back.
Been going here forever. I always like this park/beach in the middle of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles. Wide clean beach, even a nudist section for those inclined.
You would never know that it is only 24 years old by the average age of the visitor. It is still the best nude beach in the US, despite Dade county trying to make it more difficult to find parking. We were there on the nude recreation weekend promoted by the South Florida Free Beach organization, (http://sffb.com) so the beach was full from snow fence to snow fence. The clothing optional section is between lifeguard towers #12 and #16. You can park in lot 1, 13996 Collins Ave, and walk through the tunnel on the north end of the parking lot or in the North Lot, 15094 Collins Ave, and use the tunnel on the south end of the parking lot. (Parking is $5 weekdays, $7 weekends). It is so different than the other Miami Beaches, especially South Beach. People are not pretentious and will actually strike up a conversation. Friendly beach ambassadors are available to greet visitors and provide information. They are easy to spot them thanks to the green safari hats. And not all the bodies are South Beach perfect: tucked, sucked, and augmented. This really helps women that are worried about their body image on the beach. The age range was from two to seventy two. I know that some people have an issue being around nudist families and think it should be for adults only (Hippie Hollow is 18+), but the beach is large enough so you can avoid them. The basic layout is gay men to the north toward the Trump Tower, (I bet that just pisses him off) then couples and singles, then European and South American older people and then families toward the most southern end. The nice thing is that they actually have concession for food (B&B Beach Cafe) and lounge chairs and umbrella rentals right on the beach. Which is nice if you don't want to haul all of that stuff in and out, and when you’re ready to go home you can shower and change so you don’t have to have salty and sandy drawers. It is a great gateway to a clothing optional vacation without having to go to an expensive resort.
Where bathers go to be naked. You will be greeted by signs, "Beyond this point you will be greeted by nude bathers.". Most people you encounter are nudists, peeping Willies, couples looking. The beach is busy, beach area between lifeguard towers #12 and #16 have most -------- bodies. They have lifeguards, bathrooms, parking $6., volleyball, picnic shelters & tables, a dog beach with leash, barbecue grills, kite flying, pier, concessions. Excellent because of all the skin.

Women are used to doing most of the ‘mushy’ stuff like love letters, scrapbooks filled with photos, notes and memorabilia. We also want everything documented and recorded and we’re very particular with important dates and events. Men, on the other hand are less likely to do these things but that doesn’t make them less romantic and loving. They have their own ways–entirely different from ours but that make us love them more anyway just like this guy here.
Casey Neistat , a filmmaker honors his girlfriend, now wife Candice Pool with probably one of the sweetest documentaries ever. It features a short film of their love story for the past eight years. Random and raw moments were captured from their early years as a couple including their first date, Casey’s proposal until the time that they got married.
The cutest part for me was Casey’s honest admission of his mistakes saying he was sorry or Candice was right about something. He is fond of recording their moments together or Candice’s on the beach and there’s no other perfect way to end the film and reveal the couple’s great surprise with Candice’s beautiful shot by the beach showing her ‘baby bump’–truly breathtaking.
