Why We Need to Pray Every Day

Why we need to pray every day? We as humans need to ask the Creator for His help and His mercy. Who does He answer to? Who is the one that He is looking to? This is why we have to pray each day, to ask the Lord for His help.

When we pray, we are asking God for His wisdom and for His provision and blessing. We ask Him for His goodness and His love. We ask for His help because He has already answered us for all that we have ever asked Him for. What better way is there to ask for His help then by actually saying the words out loud?

Praying each day to ask the Lord for His help will bring you closer to Him. It will make your walk in the kingdom of heaven so much more fulfilling and so easy. Why would God give us such easy access to Him? Because He wants us to walk in His ways.

I am not saying that we have to walk in the way of the Lord every single day. That would be crazy. However, we can find the right balance and I am not talking about having a hard time with it, either. I'm talking about making sure that every day is a walk in the Word of God and that we walk in the ways of Jesus Christ.

If we don't then our walk in the Word of God will become diluted. We will be walking in sin because we won't be walking in the ways of our Lord. This will not only destroy our walk in the Word but also our life in general. When our life becomes unspiritual then Satan will have an open field to operate from and he will bring more destruction into our lives.

Therefore, we need to make sure that we have the proper balance of prayer and daily devotions. I know that it might sound like we are walking in the ways of Satan, but the truth is that we aren't. We are walking in the ways of our Lord. We need to make sure that we keep that balance in order to walk in the footsteps of our heavenly Father.

It is also important for us to realize that our needs aren't that different than our heavenly Father's needs. Why would our Father go through all of this trouble just to send us His way? That is exactly what our Father is doing. We need to take Him seriously, and that means daily devotions and prayer.

In order to get closer to our Lord, we need to read the Bible every day and make sure that we always pray and meditate on Him. It is very easy to get lost and to stop walking the walk with our Lord. But if we stop walking with Him, then He will be very upset, and He may even take some negative action against us. We need to remember that our Lord is always willing to help us, but we also need to remind Him of His free gift to us of providing for us and to gain all of the joy that He promises.

Why do we need to be reminded of this every day? The reason is because God has plans for us and He wants us to see those plans. If we don't see His will for us and if we don't see His ways and His purposes, then we won't accomplish much and we won't walk in the freedom that we deserve. Our sinners will get in the way, but if we continue to walk in the ways and the threads of His word, then we will indeed walk in liberty.

This is why we need to continue to pray and meditate on the Lord and by doing so, we will not only gain strength and encouragement in our walk with the Lord, but we will also see more His presence and we will indeed walk in victory. And victory will bring more peace and joy into our lives. More peace and joy mean having more security. Having more security means having more peace and joy.

Of course, this doesn't mean that we should be in constant prayer and meditation and spend our entire day in prayer and meditation. That's just way too much work and way too time consuming. But what we can do is make an intelligent decision as to how much time we're going to devote to Him and as to where that time will be spent. When you know why you need to wake up every day and when you know why you should go to bed at night, you will experience things differently and you will get more out of life. And you can have a lot more!
