Why I’m making more time for what makes me happy

Why I’m making more time for what makes me happy

Life Hack

Let's start with a simple but important question: What makes you feel alive and passionate that you wish you could do more often?

For me, it's always been reading. Since I was young, I've loved diving into books, exploring new ideas, and discovering amazing stories. Reading has brought me immense joy, inspiration, and personal growth over the years.

But somewhere along the line, my pure love for reading became clouded. With work pressures and the urge to keep up with trends, reading felt more like a task than a source of fulfillment. I found myself reading what I thought I "should" read, rather than what truly excited me.

Recently, I decided to reconnect with my genuine passion for books. I started setting aside time each day to read, not because I had to, but because I truly enjoy it. And the difference has been remarkable. I feel more energized, inspired, and connected with myself.

This experience made me reflect on our "authentic self" – the part of us that feels most genuine, alive, and in tune with our deepest values. When we embrace our authentic self, we find true contentment and purpose.

In the rush of daily life, it's easy to lose sight of what truly lights us up. We chase external success but often feel an emptiness inside.

So here’s my challenge to you:

Take a moment to think about what activities or hobbies bring you genuine happiness. Maybe it’s painting, hiking, or practicing yoga. These activities are clues to your authentic self.

Here’s my heartfelt encouragement: This week, prioritize at least one activity that brings you joy, no matter how small. Let it be the first step in rediscovering and honoring your true self.

Because real success isn’t just about achievements; it’s about living in harmony with who you truly are.
