Why I Built Nano Banana Prompt

Why I Built Nano Banana Prompt

AI image generation has been moving fast, and new models are popping up all the time. Recently, I found myself spending a lot of time experimenting with one in particular: Nano Banana.

Like many of you, I started with curiosity — writing prompts, tweaking words, trying to see how far the model could go. Soon I had dozens (then hundreds) of prompts scattered across notes, screenshots, and random folders. It was messy.

At some point I thought: what if I just put them all in one place, and maybe others can benefit from them too?

That’s how Nano Banana Prompt was born.

What the site is today

Right now, the site is still simple. It’s mostly:

  • A prompt library where I collect and organize what I’ve tried.
  • Visual examples so you can immediately see how a prompt plays out.
  • A small feature to edit images with prompts, combining text with uploads.

It’s early, but it already helps me (and hopefully others) explore Nano Banana more easily without starting from scratch every time.

Why share prompts at all?

When it comes to AI image generation, prompts are half the magic. But they’re also fragile. One word too many, and results can go sideways. One clever tweak, and you unlock a completely new aesthetic.

By sharing prompts openly, I think we can learn faster from each other. Instead of guarding “secret recipes,” why not build a common library of ideas and let creativity spread?

That’s the spirit I want this project to carry.

What’s next

This is just the beginning. My hope is to make Nano Banana Prompt more collaborative.

If you have prompts that worked well for you, I’d love to showcase them on the site. Over time, the collection could become more diverse, covering different styles, subjects, and workflows.

Beyond that, I’m exploring ways to make browsing more fun — maybe tags, maybe community favorites, maybe something entirely new.

Join the journey

I’m not calling this a product launch — it’s more like a playground I happened to open up.

If you’re curious, you can check it out here: nanobananaprompt.org.

And if you have prompts worth sharing, or just feedback on what could make it better, I’d really appreciate it 🙏

Thanks for reading. Let’s make AI prompting a little less lonely — and a little more fun.
