The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner
With Bentley's 100th anniversary coming up next year, the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition Mulsanne. It pays tribute to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley and even includes an item from one of his cars.
The special model can be ordered with a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. The Key Lab was inspired by a 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be seen in the cabin. For example the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet has an exhibit with a portion of the 8 Litre crankshaft that is displayed inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in the shape of a B-shaped air vent on the chrome-colored application that runs along the back side of the vehicle. The front grille is modeled in 1930s-style Onyx and there's also an optional chrome-colored application on the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille has distinctive design, with an aluminum shell that replaces the body-colored mesh of the Mulsanne. It also features the Flying B Logo.
Key boxes engraved with the Bentley wings can hold two keys and has a black flock lining. individual key pouches are available to complement or contrast with the key box. The set is also commemorative, and includes a bespoke 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and flying paperweight, plus a printed brochure featuring previously unpublished images of the original 1930s 8 Litre.

The knurling of the metal-to-metal key fob mimics textures found in the interior, like the temperature controls for the seat and the shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted the knurling to look as consistent and beautiful" as is possible. It was important to keep the dimensions and shape of the fob the same.
Bentley Mulliner customers are able to select any color from the Bentley portfolio, as well as any combination of veneers or hides and custom embroidery. Bentley's signature diamond in diamond quilting is applied to the entire cabin using nearly 400,000 stitches. The mood lighting can also be altered to suit different moods.
Outside illuminated treadplates, clocks made of brushed silver are offered as standard. New 22in wheels have self-levelling Bentley logos. Bentley's "Speed" series is a lot of fun, as it takes the Continental GT's already exuberant lavishness and elevates it to eleven. It's not only about the stunning exterior or the additional hors-d'oeuvres.
