Homophobia in ethnic minority communities is any negative prejudice or form of discrimination in ethnic minority communities worldwide towards people who identify as-or are perceived as being-lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT), [1][2][3] known as homophobia.
I have had to correct a lot of people in my family but the men who I suspect were abused were the most outspoken and loud when it came to defending their homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny. I think intergenerational trauma makes it difficult for older black folks to truly accept others because then they would have to face themselves.
