Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment offers 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is roughly on the same as a French door fridge costing this much. It also has a decent sized ice maker that is tucked away in the left door, but it's not the biggest I've seen.
You can alter the shelves in each compartment to create a custom storage setup for whatever you have to keep. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting adds an attractive touch. The bins for storage inside have a third shelf which can be folded down to store tall objects. The drawers come with temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and shut, but I found the textured plastic coatings a bit hard on my fingers.
The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and allows you to manage your refrigerator from anywhere across the globe. It also has numerous options for customizing. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked, when the freezer or fridge must be defrosted and when the filter requires a change.

The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested and produces pyramid-shaped Ice with low water consumption. This fridge is the perfect option for a single family or kitchenettes looking for a sleek design and top-of-the-line food preservation.
The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never moving by more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezer burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within an hour and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The LG LRFLC2706S is an excellent counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage in the frame's compact size. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized door bins at each door, two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set more spacious drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded in order to create more space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer to store products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.
One of the nice features of this refrigerator is that the Ice maker is located in the freezer, which makes it simple to move ice into the fridge for use when required. The freezer also features thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that allow you to organize your belongings. It also has a large bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food items and a separate ice storage bin.
Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's a great method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.
Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than some of the others we test. french door fridge freezers is likely due to its bigger capacity.
The doors are another problem with this fridge. The sunken handles allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However taller people have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been better if they had front-mounted handle.
The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those who want to combine the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model, and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, making it a desirable choice.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
If you're looking for an French door refrigerator that won't break the bank this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a basic refrigerator that may not be as appealing as its rivals however it has enough features to make it a an excellent option. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser and a decent ice machine that works fast.
Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. The drawer lets you direct a portion of your fridge's cooling power to this area so that you can store foods that require special attention. This feature is adjustable using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones.
During my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent in various parts of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance however it doesn't be among the top in our rankings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with a smart thermometer to get more precise measurements of your fridge's temperature.
The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
