Where are the leaders PT2

Supply and logistics and training won’t be an early issue.  Sustainment however, will require leadership.

Where will leaders come from?

In every conflict through time, leaders always emerge. It took years of patriots fighting and infighting among each other without a solid leader to emerge during the Revolution.  Washington emerged.  On the eve of WW2, Kimmel was in charge. He couldn’t have been the leader we needed in WW2... a Nimitz emerged.  General Patton waited decades to practice his leadership and skill.  Major Dick Winters arose from a meritocracy in combat and was the epitome of natural leadership.

Are we worthy?

We demand a leader. But are we worthy of leadership? Are we morally and intellectually prepared to be led? Are we able to examine our own integrity and subordinate ourselves voluntarily to a leader? That’s a heavy and fair question. Loyalty works up a chain of command and down a chain of command. Leaders will want to be assured the people they are leading are morally aligned with their vision and principles.

Another consideration; not every leader is a moral or honest one. It is more likely that egotistical and narcissistic leaders will arrive first. The patriot must be on guard to identify and negate that type of leader. But how will you know?

What happens long term?

Any sustained campaign will require resources and an objective. Our objective should be to restore our Constitutional Republic, end tyranny and destroy communism.

Any strategic leadership must support those objectives. The leadership will likely be a former senior military officer or junta. They will likely operate with funding and backing of wealthy patriots. That will be independent of any early kinetics. Likely during these early times ... the leadership will go public. Just like the “loyal nine” did after the Boston Tea Party.

We shouldn’t count on any Lone Ranger or Superman. At the very beginning we would need to show any future leadership that we are also credible and worthy of being led. It’s a double edged sword. The Group of Nine didn’t have solid objectives until they reacted to circumstances.

We are better prepared than our ancestors were. Not every action will require a military response.

What can I do?

For now, we must get our houses in order. We must exercise every lever of our constitutional rights we still can. We must be vocal in our community and we must peacefully engage our elected officials. We must participate while we can and where we can. Accept our roles as 21st Century American dissidents. Speak truth to power and control what we can control.

Instead of looking for a leader, perhaps examine the person in the mirror and ask yourself what can I do to improve my situation today and prepare for tomorrow?
