For those who don't know, the Kinsey Scale is a way of categorizing how gay/straight a person is on a scale from 0 to 6. The ratings are as follows: 0 Exclusively heterosexual 1 Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual 2 Predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual 3 Equally heterosexual and homosexual 4 Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual 5 Predominantly homosexual, only incidentally heterosexual 6 Exclusively homosexual X No socio-sexual contacts or reactions
I know not everyone is a fan of such cookie-cutter labels, but personally I think the Kinsey Scale is at least more useful than simple categories of completely gay, completely straight, or perfectly bisexual.

That is a thing. Go ask r/bisexual about how their romantic and sexual attractions don't always line up, it's somewhere between "not that uncommon" to "it's actually somewhat common."
This is why some people prefer to use the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid rather than the Kinsey Scale.
