When should you make an oil change

Oil is an important element in the conservation and performance of our vehicles. This forms a lubricating layer between the engine parts reducing wear and keeping it clean. It also favors its cooling.

We advise you to periodically check the oil level in your engine. Some manufacturers offer recommendations when you should change it according to their models. However, it can also depend on the type of oil:

if you use a mineral you should change it at 5 thousand kilometers; a semi-synthetic one holds up to 10,000 and synthetics can reach 15,000 before needing a change.

When taking your car to put new oil it is important that a filter change is also made. Its replacement is as important as changing the air and fuel filters. If the oil filter is in bad condition or broken, it will not be able to retain inside the impurities present in the lubricating liquid, which could cause severe damage to the engine even if an oil change has been made.

Circulating with oil in poor condition can cause your vehicle to malfunction and wear its parts faster and could result in damage so large that it requires replacing the entire engine block, repair too expensive.
