To whom reading this letter:

First I’d like to request for your patience to read through the letter. Maybe you have already seen the posters somewhere, regarding anti-Xi, anti-CCP or anti-dictatorship. But let’s put them aside for a second, and let me, genuinely, tell you what has been happening in China.

The poster movement was ignited by a protest inside Beijing, the capital city of China, where the central power of CCP lies in. The protester hanged the banners on the bridge with the clear aim of fighting against CCP’s harsh lockdown and zero-Covid policy and brutal ruling with total control of everything in people’s daily life. The protester was soon arrested by the police, and till now no news of him at all, no identity released, just like the Tank-man in Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989. Based on experience how CCP treats dissident, the protester will be in jail for a long time, if not dead. It was said on that day, 600,000 Wechat (Chinese version of Whatsapp) accounts were permanently cancelled because of sharing this news to others, let alone thousands of banned words and phrases in social media. It’s almost the only communication app in China which is highly connected to your social ID, digital wallet, assurance, covid QR-code, and in some area social credits, etc. Once cancelled, it will take a long time to apply for another account with the prerequisite that you won’t share such news ever again, and during the time you can go nowhere else, because the covid QR-code will be set to red, which means you’re “positive” to covid, even if you’re actually negative. The QR-code is used as a political weapon to control people’s move instead of a health monitor assistant. For example, in May this year, people in Henan Province couldn’t withdraw their money, their life-savings from the local bank. They had no choice but to take a protest. Without exception, they were beaten by the plainclothes police, and then the government set all the QR-codes to red, even people in other provinces but involved in the bank issue.

Let alone the political utilization of the covid-QR-code, even in the normal daily life, in order to keep your QR-code in green (negative), the only way is to take PCR-test over and over again. Months ago, it was every other day, weeks ago it was every single day, till now every 12 hours, even 3 or 4 times per day in some cities. People have to be prepared but still inevitably feel fear all the time like waiting the invisible bomb to explode. The QR-code can turn red for no reason, and cannot be used in another province, just like the Chinese household registration system, being the most strict in the world, which divides people by urban and rural origins, and polarizes social hierarchies. Sadly, once climbing into a seemingly higher hierarchy, people will abuse their power over the ordinary residents, helping to consolidate and rigidify the power pyramid. For instance, the community administrator and police only listen to the order from the above, they never care about real lives. Whoever obeys to their boss the best can get promotion, which in turns determines the limitless brutality they will treat people. Another reason for people so obeying to and so believing in the zero-covid policy is that they are brainwashed so well by CCP's propaganda that millions and millions of people in the western world are dying because of covid and the rest are also living in misery. They are accusing other countries of not “copying the homework” of China, because they think China is the only country that takes the covid seriously. But the propaganda never lets them know what other countries did based on medical care system, vaccine development research, social employment and economic support. The government doesn’t care about science, economy or how a civilized society should work, but the stability of ruling. Instead of solving the problem, solving the person who points out the problem is always the priority. When other countries are doing differently, then they must be wrong. But we are actually “the orphan of Asia”, even “the orphan of the world”. The official “wolfwarrior” diplomacy repeatedly tensions the relation with other countries, while the government always builds up an imaginary enemy for the people, so that they will go for a crusade to condemn the countries or companies that “insult” China and force them to apologize if they still want to make money from China. Chinese vaccine is another ideological weapon to show CCP’s superiority over the western world, but everyone is aware of the risk as the same as they don’t trust their food and environment safety.

Referring to lockdown, it’s literally lockdown in China. They will soldering iron fence in front of the building gate, paste seals on your doors, whoever breaks the seals will be detained. Being locked in their home for several months long, more and more people choose to jump off the building to commit suicide, because it’s both physical prison and mental torture. A daughter in the city of Hohhot was seeing her mom jumping off 12th floor and her body on the ground. The grieved crying bounced in the air for hours, but no one could help because all doors and gates were sealed, and no ambulance appeared. CCP's killing people in the name of "protecting and saving lives". Your house will also be “sanitized”, including your cloth, your food, your pets (meaning executed), everything. Your private property never belongs to you. In April’s Shanghai lockdown, one apartment was demanded to be a public quarantine center, and the people in the apartment were forced to be kicked out with no explanation. People are losing their jobs and income, let alone being discriminated in the labor market once get infected. Small businesses are shuting down streets after streets, and the owners cannot pay the loans. No one knows how much already the massive PCR-test overdrafts the domestic collective medical insurance, while the companies that produce the PCR-test supplies and construct quarantine centers have gained profit as much as a couple of billions Chinese yuan, let alone they haven’t paid the back salaries to the construction workers. A vast quarantine center project is expected in use for the next 10 years, and more and more Provinces are making the policy that people have to pay themselves the expenses for PCR-test and quarantine from November 2022 on. The endless and devastating zero-covid policy makes people desperate about going back to a normal life.

The food shortage happened again and again in every city whenever there’s a lockdown. And the food ordered by people themselves online will be poured into trash bin because only “authorized” food can be delivered. Every official department is passing the buck, and the hotlines are never gotten through. People are crying for help, but sadly, once helped, some of them will point the gun at the medias that help them by accusing them as foreign forces with the intention of separating the country. Then they will claim how grateful they are to CCP, letting others doubt whether it's the modern version of "the farmer and the snake" or they are really threatened. People died from starvation, and from other diseases because the hospitals cannot take over patients without taking PCR-test first, even when they die, the crematorium cannot burn them before doing the PCR-test. Every day we hear something absurd, but next day there will be tragedies even more insane happening everywhere in random. People have to wear masks all the time. But we also see news that people were warned and fined eating without wearing masks. Nope, you're not seeing fake news here. Their idea is wherever people take off masks, there will be covid. Once there’s a single positive case, people in the whole city have to do PCR-test, and those in that whole building will be pulled over to the quarantine center with insanely low living conditions. Mothers and their infants were separated, elders and disables were treated inhumanly as if they shouldn't have ever lived. A father in Hebei Province had to wave a kitchen knife to break the lockdown blocks in order to buy milk powder for his baby, but was detained by the police before getting the milk powder. Pregnant women about to give birth were blocked right in front of the hospital in Xinjiang Province. A little girl in Jiangxi Province was raped by the local village chief but in the meantime her parents were in the quarantine center. If the residents refuse to go to the quarantine center, the police will cut off the water and electricity supply until you surrender. They will even lie to let people go downstairs to do PCR-test, but then drag them directly to the quarantine center without any notification. Your life is just hold in their hands, squeezed into any form, any shape. They’re so enjoying to do so because they found out actually the people dare not to fight back, but are rather easy to be provoked hatred toward each other, to report who’s positive, who has a travel history recently, who didn’t wear masks, and demand to pull over the positive patients who are actually their neighbors to the quarantine center. The same exact scene happened in 1960-1970s during Chinese Cultural Revolution, where students denounced and killed their teachers on the streets, family members reported and even killed each other. Launched by Mao, the very first chairman of PRC, such a society that eats people alive is now reviving in a new guise under another dictator’s ruling. I feel we are cursed, but we are not, because we always hope for the autocrat to be the savior instead of fighting for our rights by our own hands. I don’t want to admit it but we deserve this.

If you're still skeptical about the news above (critical thinking is good and should be encouraged), I'll tell you that the people sent to the quarantine centers are still the "luckier" ones. When there’s no quarantine place, people have to sleep in the open streets for weeks. One particular case is one person lived in a telephone booth for a whole month because her community wouldn't let her in without authorized reception paper and she had no place to go. Another case is the truck drivers were forced to stay in highways for weeks. They were not even allowed to use toilets outside of the trucks, otherwise they were set "positive" for the covid QR-code and then dragged into the quarantine center. During Chengdu lockdown in August and September this year, in addition of going through every mess-up of organization and execution as the same in Shanghai lockdown, people also successively suffered from extremely hot weather, limited accessibility to electricity due to electricity shortage, and earthquake. No one would ever imagine that they were not allowed to flee from their sealed home to the safe open square and streets even during the earthquake and a few subsequent aftershocks when they already received the alarm in advance. What’s even shocking is, the firemen were allowed to extinguish the heat-induced forest fire, and the rescue members were allowed to go inside to rescue the wounded only after doing PCR-test. Although it was not as strong as the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, the government still without doubt blamed it to the natural disaster instead of the lockdown or the low quality of the building due to the corruption of the local officials, because this particular government will never ever apologize for its own mistake and guilt. Let alone no one was accused of the poorly constructed buildings in Wenchuan that collapsed and crushed thousands of children, do people still remember how many citizens were put into jail afterwards because of their independent investigation and their conscience to disclose the truth? CCP never learns the lesson, so we the people are drowning into the same river again and again. I can’t name all of them because it happens to every individual in China, just some are more unfortunate but everyone is equally unsafe. People who wouldn't believe the concentration camp in Xinjiang Province are now massively experiencing it nationwide. In September this year, people in Guizhou province were pulled over from their home in the middle of the night and sent to the quarantine center but the bus was crashed and 27 died in the end. The government only mentioned it’s the driver’s fault but never said anything about the policy. The news was censored the first moment when it’s exposed. Just when I type this letter, a little boy in the city of Lanzhou died of not allowed to go outside to the hospital and the ambulance never showed up in 3 hours. The 3-year-old kid suffered his entire life from this man-made tragedy. Ironically, the police came to control down his parents within 10 minutes after the news came up to the media. Latest on Nov. 24, 2022 in Urumqi in Xijiang Province, a building was on fire at the 110th day of the lockdown, but the fire engine could not go inside the community because of being blocked by the locked iron fence. In the end, 10+ people died in their apartments before the police torn down the iron fence and the fire was put out after totally 3 hours. The youngest was 3 years old. And in the press conference later that day, the official ruthlessly accused the dead and injured people that they had low capability of saving themselves. Another debt of blood should be paid by CCP. People shall never forget and forgive this.

For concealing the truth and deceiving people, CCP has its advantage by utilizing the high-tech surveillance system. We all know China has the world’s most CCTVs, but those CCTVs are not only monitoring ordinary criminal cases, but also identifying everyone’s face, eyes and tracing your everyday route. It's also upgraded since covid in order to identify people with masks. I believe you’re all familiar about the society in 1984 or New Brave World, and notorious dictators like Stalin, Ceausescu, and Mao, but Xi and his CCP’s modern digitalized dictatorship now is extraordinarily more powerful than any of the dictators ever in history with the superhigh-tech surveillance system, great network firewall, censorship and propaganda system, which costs comparable to its military spending, and countless police and national security members. It’s not just a police state that simple, but it expands its ambition to track down every corner of the world and shut down everyone’s mouth even if you flee from China, until you’re physically not breathing. Let alone how they punished Dr. Li wenliang and Jiang Yanyong, who are the whistleblowers of the very first covid cases in Wuhan 2020 and the very first SARS cases in 2003 respectively, last year in the summer, people in Henan Province lost their lives in a subway station by a sudden pouring of rain, and the government not only concealed the death number, but also fenced the flower people placed there in memorial of the dead and detained a few news reporters. During the decade, Chinese human rights lawyers, independent journalists, social activists especially women rights and LGBTQ rights activists, almost all NGOs and other self-organizations are all taken down, in an exactly brutal way how they treat Uighurs, Tibetans, Hongkongers, and all the other voices that they define as dissent. All prisoners of conscience in China are convicted by “inciting subversion of state power”, because CCP is so fear of instablizing the root of their “legitimate” ruling. Now if you post anything in Wechat containing banned words, you're the only one can see your (ghost) post. When we're face-chatting with our parents via Wechat, they always get so self-censored and warn us not to say anything sensitive, because otherwise the only contact method between us will be cut off. Or posting anything in Weibo (Chinese version of Twitter), anything sensitive/negative/criticizing, and the censor thinks it will influence a bunch of people, then the police will interfere by first demanding you to delete the post, if not you will be called in the police station and be interrogated. Once you get a record getting detained, the influence is not only on you yourself, but on the three generations of you and your family, like you will lose your job, your parents can’t get their pension money and your children won’t be entitled to get into a good school. They always “educate” you using words like “think of your family” as a total threat. In February this year, a woman in Jiangsu Province was found locked by chains and raped and forced to give birth to 8 children. A citizen went to the local place to find out the true story but was arrested by the police and till now no news has been released. Let alone the strict one-child policy in 1980-1990s and the brutal forced abortion and human trafficking, now China is also entering an aging society, and we’re “encouraged” to have 3 children each family. One ironic scene during Shanghai lockdown in April, a policeman warned a young man to punish his three generations due to not obeying the rule to go to the quarantine center, the young man responded “This is our last generation”. Now not only nothing left but the voice of the dictator, but also if you’re not applauding firmly, you will be questioned that you have a standpoint issue, that you are not loyal enough.

Back to the protest in Beijing, it was right before Xi’s reelection and it’s now his third term to rule without any objections even in the Party itself. This means we’re facing the darkest time at least in the next five years, if not forever, because Xi already cancelled the term limits in the constitution in 2018. This triggers people’s motivation to flee from the country. However, it’s now not only difficult to apply for a visa unless you have convincingly firm causes for it, and “to travel” and “to visit families and friends” are not among them. But also it’s impossible to apply for a new passport if you currently don’t have one. Even if you have one, you have to hand it over to your Party committee if you work in a national company. There's no way to flee, and no way to hide. Maybe you have the question: why you don’t fight/protest? Well, it’s a long history. Literally, the so-called 5,000 years’ history of monarchy, tyranny and patriarchy makes us weak, makes us fear, and it transmits from generation to generation. We always keep cautious about saying "wrong" words because we are punished by words along the whole history, and we are warned by our parents/teachers/bosses to not show braveness all along our lifetime. Just an example days ago, two people in the city of Xining posted online "We are the city of PCR-test, quarantine center, vegetable package and silent lockdown". Everyone thinks that as a joke, self-mocking and self-pitying. And others replied that it's actually their hometowns that should have the superiority to own the title. However, They were warned by the police in a circulated notice due to the negative tone. Everyone is trying not to talk politics, but actually politics will come after you, and you can only say what they want you to say, you can only see what they want you to see. 1989 is the closest moment we’re fighting towards democracy, but unfortunately we didn’t continue after the government and the military started to shoot. And we never have the chance to know the name of the Tank-man. It’s the pity of our parents’ generation and now we’re all taking the consequences. People are dying for nothing but insanity. Under their masks are the sealed mouths, and between their hands and the QR-codes are the handcuffs. We lose our rights bit by bit until we're too powerless to stand like a real human being. It’s now our generation’s responsibility to take over the Bridge-man’s braveness and courage, and fight against the dictatorship overseas, because protesting in Beijing is so rare and needs our response. We think if we overseas Chinese don’t even respond, then there will be no more chance ever again. The window period can be as short as a few days, and we can't afford to waste any minute. We must stop CCP and Xi’s dictatorship, otherwise all of us will rush down the cliff and be the funeral sacrifices. We’re aware we alone cannot make it, unless we join together with our allies. We are also inspired by the Hongkongers, Ukrainians, Iranians, people who are fighting against the dictatorship. But apparently we are also facing threatening and great oppression. We first pasted the posters to let our voice be heard. But we see other pro-CCP Chinese students (99% among all) are tearing down the posters. They help the censor outside China instead of enjoying the freedom of speech. And actually quite a large ratio of them will still choose to settle down in western countries because they're pretty clear which side is the free world and physically honest to their own interests, but on the other hand, they will only tell you how successful China controls covid and be armed by their pathetic, toxic patriotism, like zombie robots, even though they also can’t go back home for a family reunion since covid (China government cancels 90% flights and a one-way ticket costs as much as 10,000 euros but the flight can still be canceled 2 days before it takes off and sometimes you have to book multiple tickets simultaneously, let alone the shockingly high price you have to afford for the quarantine hotel when you land in China) but they still keep self-censoring any moment. I feel sorry for them. What’s more intimidating is, they are trying to expose our identities and report to whom in the secrete service. And once we’re tracked down, it’s our parents back in China the police will go to, and our parents will be under surveillance for the rest of their life, sometimes even physically in jeopardy, and we will be immediately detained once going back. Once being closely surveilled 24/7, the police will eat you alive and it's worse than death. It’s not a joke, if you have ever checked the news that how they treat Uygurs, Chinese human rights defenders and their families, and petitioners all over the country whose rights are infringed but appeals are suppressed, and also the news that China has set a large number of illegal police stations in the whole world including many countries in Europe. We, the Chinese dissidents, are facing real and severe danger by posting and protesting, and also political depression and loneliness as we have to hide for the most of the time and it’s really difficult to find allies. That's why it's not only merely impossible to protest inside China, but also the risk of overseas protest is unprecedentedly high. But we will do as Sisyphus does, because we know the fire is falling into the abyss, but Prometheus isn't always there.

Thank you for reading this far. We would like to request for your understanding and encouragement, or at least be aware of how far and aggressive the CCP’s tentacles can reach out. If you see others tearing down our posters, please stop them as possible as you could. If you want to help us to share to more people, I’m really grateful for it, and please feel free to use the QR-code and the method. As for the whole western society, please be aware when you make trades with China, when you take pro-CCP students from China especially those with Chinese government scholarships and with a background of Chinese students and scholars association, they’re making influence on you. There will be price for only taking the hot money from China and Chinese students’ tuition fee but turning a blind eye on their behavior. German government (Scholz) already allowed Chinese investment in Hamburg harbor and is going to visit China. Such an appeasement only makes CCP stronger and fearless. CCP wants to break the rules of the game to become win-win (meaning China wins twice) every time since it gained more international right of speech especially since Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. You will become more and more compromised, until it's too late to get independent from China's investment and manufacture, the same way how we lose our rights as we call it "boiling frog". When you only care about the sales of your cellphone will drop because of fleeing workers from Foxconn in the city of Zhengzhou, at least be aware of how they are forced to work long hours, and fear of the low-condition quarantine. They were fleeing on foot to their hometowns hundreds of kilometers away because of no other way, such a sadness should not be understated only by consumerism. And also think about how you always try to avoid political topics with Chinese students, and this is nothing else but self-censoring. There’s a metaphor that when you see a bullying, if you turn your head away, to some extent you are also an accomplice of the bully. The only righteous way is to stop the bullying immediately. Think twice before it’s too late, just think about what happened to Ukraine. Xi Jinping already destroyed Hongkong, and he's planning to take down Taiwan, not exaggerating, he's dragging all of us to the next world war like Hitler. We have to pick a side and take it seriously. Afterall, the western society is founded by freedom and democracy, to sabotage them is easy, but to cherish them, it needs all our effort and awareness.

Last but not the least, we don’t want to encourage hatred towards any individuals including the pro-CCP Chinese students. Perhaps one day the dictatorship itself will wake them up in a slightly brutal way, and maybe it’s the only way. By the way, you can use a simple question to differentiate us Chinese dissenters and those pro-CCP students, which is “Do you know China and Taiwan are two countries?” Some will be easily triggered and outrageous. I think you’ll find out the answer :)

A tip of iceberg of what’s happening in China (everywhere & everyday):

(we have to save the pictures within 5min once seen in case of being censored and blocked)

“A healthy society should not have only one single voice.” --- Dr. Li Wenliang

Flowers are so powerful that they’re forbidden in China.

“The world doesn’t need me anymore.” said the chained mother when she’s once clear from her mental illness.

The quarantine deliver bus drove into the death.

Hardcore lockdown in every place (public toilets, trucks, trains, you name it)

Hardcore lockdown so you never have to chance to flee. See whether you or the virus lives longer inside the prison.

33 years after Berlin Wall fell, the modern China Great Wall is built nationwide long, separating people from the free world.

Children in kindergarten are wearing full protection suits and are sent to the quarantine center.

Hardcore quarantine in every place (open square, public toilets, stadium, you name it), the light of the stadium never turned off

Insanely low quarantine condition, you have no dignity, only living like animals

Pouring food to trash bin, the community volunteers enjoy lockdown so much because of possessing power over ordinary residents “It’s finally to show my power to throw away unauthorized food. You people keep starving.”

Hardcore disinfection in every corner, on your private properties, even on people directly.

Hardcore PCR-test no matter age, health condition, weather, distance

In China, if you're vegetable or a fish, you still cannot avoid being poked by PCR test swabs. You are doomed.

“Your apartment will be quarantine center. We’re just informing you. Begging for mercy is a waste a time.”

"Positive" in Chinese sounds the same as "sheep". The police is "capturing sheeps" (Chinese characters at his back) as they look for positive covid cases. People are nothing but fresh meat to the butcher.

“We need your cooperation doing PCR-test.” The police resembles "stormtrooper" so much since they are both in white and unidentifiable.

They, behaving like gansters, will beat you up if you ever disobey.

A mindfuck moment of the propaganda during Shanghai lockdown. "Control your soul from the desire of freedom."

Humiliation education and obeying test: The PCR-test station is designed to bend your knees, so that you blowjob the power every time.

“Doing petty dealer or farming in lockdown? Sorry, you ask for it.”

People are so numb, still in line for PCR-test even there’s a fire nearby. What only matters the most is your QR-code. Earn your life every 24h.
A janitor in Shenzhen University jumped off the building, leaving her purse, cellphone and shoes. She was forced to be locked-down in the university, still had to do a lot of work but couldn’t get her salary. She did washing in the public toilet, slept on the ground of a classroom. The police took away the flowers in memorial of the janitor, because it can “incite” people’s anger, which CCP fears the most.

Latest: the baby died of not allowed to go to the hospital, 3 years old only, suffering his entire life from this man-made tragedy.

Xinjiang Province has been under lockdown for more than 3 months, through the whole seasons, still going on. People in the quarantine center live like refugees in their own country.

Latest on Nov. 24, 2022 in Urumqi in Xijiang Province, a building was on fire, but the fire engine could not go inside the community because of being blocked by the locked iron fence, and the water never reached the fire. In the end, 10+ people died in their apartments before the police torn down the iron fence, the youngest was only 3 years old. The last 110 days of their life was locked in their homes.
