What's behind the popularity of baggy clothes

Billie Eilish was one of the first musicians to popularize what would later become known as "baggy clothes." She simply didn't want everyone's opinions about her physique.

Wearing baggy clothing does this, as an internet rando observed, he has to take a double look to determine if he's looking at a gorgeous lady or a homeless person.

The trends always change, but the purpose of hiding yourself behind baggy clothes still applies, whether you live in East or South-East Asia.

The way that people's attitudes towards modest clothes goes is something I never expected: In the West, you can get shamed for wearing loose clothes. You're supposed to be "free" to show off your body in tight clothes, and you must comply with this "freedom" even if you don't want to.

It's no big deal, though. Indie aesthetics are designed for individuals who don't want to stand out from the crowd. That's why we can't seem to get enough of loose clothing.

Another one is they just look cool, of course.

You can make your baggy outfit as minimalistic or as aesthetic as you wish. You can choose to go for a sleek and simple look, or you can add some personality with fun and unique accessories. Colour choices and combos can be super fun as well. It's all up to you!
