What's The Reason You're Failing At Greenpower Mobility
Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Greenpower creates and manufactures, as well as distributes an entire range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes school cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles.
EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle. It's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.
EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete line of heavy and medium-duty all-electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which is able to accommodate a variety of bodies and upfits for a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a simple paper that allows for optimal placement of the battery and a lower center of gravity. This leads to better range/payload ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks with a single wall structure inside, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity and a payload that is industry-leading to reach the range of zero-emission transport of passengers or goods.
GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will allow fleets to move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.
We were able to test drive the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours and found it to be simple to drive and comfortable to drive long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress wind and road noise while driving along the highway. It is smooth on ruts and humps. The acceleration is extremely quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 has a wide range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes: eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and offer an experience unlike any other for those who have not driven an electric vehicle before.
In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric mini bus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, microtransit or transit buses, vanpools, or paratransit vehicles.
GreenPower produces approximately 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 all-electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. www.mymobilityscooters.uk 'll be eligible for federal assistance in transit. Check back as we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later this year. We will share more information on this innovative electric vehicle.
