What's Going On?

Sergei Glazyev

The world has changed. Irreversibly. What we wrote about a decade and a half ago has happened. This publication is a continuation of the article “What’s Happening?” published earlier on this channel

Pax Americana is falling apart before our eyes a third of a century after the collapse of the USSR. The transition to a new world economic order is complete. The center of the world economy has shifted to East and South Asia, where a bipolar core of an integral world economic order has formed, as it should, with two poles: communist China and democratic India.

The transition to a new technological order, which began with the global financial crisis of 2008, has also been completed. During the decade and a half of the Great Stagnation that followed, the leading countries created the basic production of a new technological order. Their accelerated growth is bringing their economy to a new long wave of economic growth.

Everything is happening in full accordance with the theory of long-term economic development as a process of changing technological and world economic structures. https://glazev.ru/ryvok-v-budushhee/ Unfortunately, the recommendations based on it were not implemented in our country, which resulted in many years of stagflation of the economy and drawing into the epicenter of a global hybrid war. The latter naturally strengthened China, which became the world leader in the manufacturing sector. Attempts by the current US administration to stop its rise are doomed to failure, since the system of economic development management created in China is much more effective.

As expected, the United States failed to win the global hybrid war they unleashed to maintain global leadership. https://glazev.ru/poslednjaja-mirovaja-voyna-ssha-nachinajut-i-proigryvajut/ They were guided by Brzezinski's five-step strategy, which is unrealistic in modern conditions (Nazify Ukraine against Russia - tear the European Union away from Russia - provoke a coup d'etat in Russia with the establishment of a puppet regime - destroy Iran - isolate China with the aim of organizing a famine there. As a result of ten years of attempts to implement this strategy, they only weakened Europe and strengthened China. But they managed, as in the first two world wars, to dump their costs on the Russian world.

By manipulating the leadership of the Bank of Russia, the American oligarchy has been a long-term beneficiary of the export of capital from our country, the total volume of which is approaching 2 trillion dollars in the post-Soviet period, and was also able to withdraw its own currency reserves for the needs of financing military actions against Russia. The Russian Central Bank still serves the interests of international financial speculators, allowing them to manipulate the ruble exchange rate and squeezing money out of the real sector into the speculative sector and pushing it further abroad.

The new US administration is trying to get out of the global hybrid war started by Washington, dumping its negative consequences on Europe and concentrating its available resources on maintaining scientific and technological leadership. Its preservation is the key to future prosperity and maintaining the position of one of the centers of the world economy. Unlike our monetary authorities, the US leadership understands perfectly well the key role of scientific and technological progress in ensuring modern economic growth and the importance of money as a tool for tying up resources in advanced areas of development of the production sector. The Trump administration is trying to throw off all the excess from the ship of American statehood, which has lost speed, cutting unnecessary expenses and refusing excessive obligations, focusing on modernization of the economy. Theoretically, the US can still manage to ride the long wave of growth of the new technological order before the dollar financial pyramid collapses, transforming depreciating capital into investments in promising industries. This is exactly what the technocrats attracted by Trump are trying to organize.

It should be noted that the renewed leadership of the USSR, faced with a slowdown in economic growth in the early 80s, also correctly began with a program to accelerate scientific and technological progress. But, showing impatience, it rushed into implementing ill-considered reforms within the framework of the dogma of Scientific Communism, creating chaos in the economy, which ended in the collapse of the state. Trump is also showing impatience, taking ill-considered actions that are fraught with growing chaos in the economy. The trade war he started with his main partners is unlikely to bring a positive result to American manufacturers, who are faced with rising costs and a break in supply chains. Legalization of private cryptocurrency circulation with a simultaneous ban on the issuance of the digital dollar by the Federal Reserve undermines the already shaky dollar financial pyramid, provoking the collapse of giant financial bubbles. Since the global financial crisis of 2008, the dollar's monetary base has quadrupled. This made it possible to avoid drawing the American economy into the Great Depression, which usually occurs when technological paradigms change, and which was transformed into the Great Stagnation thanks to the flows of cheap credit to support economic activity. But the unrestrained emission of dollars against the growth of the US national debt, which has long been refinanced according to the principle of a financial pyramid, fueled the inflation of financial bubbles, the size of which already far exceeds their volume on the eve of the 2008 financial crisis. The collapse of the American stock market that began in recent weeks may develop into the collapse of the entire dollar financial system. Perhaps the technocratic Trump administration is preparing for these shocks, trying to create a parallel financial system based on cryptocurrencies and blockchain, which will be able to ensure payments and settlements in the event of a collapse of the existing financial and banking system. To save it, it is necessary to dump the gigantic volume of unsecured liabilities. Some of them can be written off as war, as has already happened with American obligations to Russia, Venezuela, Iran and a number of other countries subject to sanctions. It is possible to reduce some of the socially neutral government spending. But all of this together amounts to no more than a few percent of the colossal financial bubbles of unsecured liabilities inflated by speculators. Their collapse will inevitably occur with grave economic and social consequences.

It is possible to get out from under the collapse of the dollar financial system by zeroing out government liabilities under the pretext of reorganizing the state itself. Perhaps this is what Trump has in mind under the pretext of unifying the United States with Canada. Washington's annexation of Greenland, Panama, part of Ukraine and Gaza, accompanied by genocide of the local population, will be blamed on the deep state of the old United States. The new state will have a new currency, and US creditors will stand in line for many decades to get their money back, invested in the bonds of the disappeared state.

The natural failure of Brzezinski's aforementioned strategy to maintain US global hegemony has not given rise to any realistic new strategy for Washington. Perhaps, faced with a sharp decline in the authority of the United States and the erosion of its image as a superpower that even the tiny Houthi tribe is not afraid of, Trump will abandon imperial ambitions and truly focus on the goal of modernizing the American economy. If he continues to try to intimidate everyone and everything, accompanied by trade wars, then the United States will increasingly plunge into chaos with an increase in socio-political conflicts, fraught with the disintegration of the country.

The situation is even worse for the US's European satellites. The more they resent Trump and the more they brag, the more incentives he has to send them packing along with their obligations, including the return of their gold reserves stored in the US. A conflict with Washington is mortally dangerous for Brussels. Trump easily discredits European leaders and the Euro-bureaucracy by shifting the blame for the collapse of the trade and financial system onto them by presenting bills for the accumulated US expenses for maintaining NATO. Therefore, the smartest of them tuck their tails between their legs, gritting their teeth and agreeing to his demands for increased military spending. Against the backdrop of rising costs due to the rejection of Russian energy resources and the adoption of the climate agenda, this accelerates the deterioration of the socio-economic situation in the EU. European leaders and the Euro-bureaucracy, who have staked their bets on a war with Russia, are forced to bend this line even more aggressively in order to neutralize voters' discontent with the external threat and justify repressions against political opponents. The Eurobureaucracy is trying to establish its dictatorship by organizing revolutions and repressions against nationally oriented leaders of member states.

The war in Ukraine against Russia is becoming the main way for European leaders and Eurobureaucrats, who are losing popularity, to retain power. However, the irrationality of this war from the point of view of common sense and the interests of the peoples of European countries makes this method very unreliable. Orban's recently published theses can become a catalyst for activating and uniting socio-political forces that are dissatisfied with the activities of the Eurobureaucracy for various reasons. The European bureaucratic empire is beginning to crack at the seams, losing legitimacy.

In all conflicts between the European Commission and the national interests of EU member states, the Eurobureaucracy has won so far, imposing and implementing unpopular reforms. Based on this, the European Union should be called a Bureaucratic Empire serving the interests of transnational capital. The social base of the Euro-bureaucracy is increasingly becoming the migrants brought in with its support, who support anti-national political forces. By tearing their economies away from Russia and trying to militarize them, calling on the population to lay down their lives in another "Campaign to the East", European leaders and Eurocrats are bringing closer the moment of the creation of a European caliphate due to the progressive extinction of the indigenous population. To avoid such a fate, the peoples of European countries must either leave the EU or transform the Euro-bureaucratic structures at the call of Orban. Thus, the EU, following the USA, is plunging into chaos, accompanied by a deterioration of the socio-economic situation. It entails the degradation of the political system, the suppression of democratic institutions by security forces. Unlike the anti-Semitic Nazi ideology that united Western Europe during the Great Depression under Hitler, today the politicians and media in power in the EU are trying to use Russophobia in this capacity. The place of the Fuhrer is taken in turn by corrupt leaders of the European Commission. Although they do not enjoy the trust of the masses, they have managed to pursue a Russophobic policy for more than ten years, which has become a new ideology of European countries that have stood up for Ukrainian Nazism. Despite its negative economic consequences, which undermine the competitiveness of the EU, they continue to pursue it. The question arises about the hidden motives of such a suicidal political course for Europe. To understand them, it is necessary to uncover the forces interested in this, manipulating European politicians.

Britain sets the tone for the new European campaign to the East. Despite the parade of stupid puppets replacing each other in the post of Prime Minister, they all push the same Russophobic political line. For the English ruling elite, which has been practicing the policy of “divide and rule” for centuries, inciting war in Europe is a routine matter. Perhaps the old Russophobic instinct has kicked in, the desire to finally resolve the Russian question, which haunted Great Britain in those distant times when it was the “mistress of the seas.” In any case, the war in Ukraine with the aim of destroying the Russian world brings the English oligarchy considerable profits from confiscated Russian assets and capital fleeing from warring Europe.

France plays second fiddle in the Euro-Russophobic orchestra. It is led by the Rothschild puppet of uncertain orientation, Macron. According to his inner circle, he starts each working day with a call to the head of the House of Rothschild and asks what he can do for this powerful clan. Some informed experts suspect this clan of intending to build a New Jerusalem on the right bank of the Dnieper, the foundation for which they have already laid in Dnepropetrovsk. From there to Odessa, there are fertile lands that can shelter millions of refugees from Israel in the event of an escalation of the permanent war in the Middle East. Zelensky has already cleared this territory of the male population, using them as cannon fodder.

Germany is an important participant in the Russophobic orchestra. If we discard revanchist motives, then the interests of the American deep state remain, which controls the media, politicians and large industry of this country. Its interests were associated with the implementation of the above-mentioned Brzezinski strategy, which naturally failed and is no longer supported by Washington. The coming to power of a puppet of big American business will soon make it clear to us how interested he is in continuing the Russophobic policy. If the new chancellor shows common sense and a business approach, then Germany may turn towards Russia, since only the restoration of Russian energy supplies and the Russian market can save this country from further degradation.

The crazy politicians of Poland, the Czech Republic, and the Baltics can be ignored, since during the years of independence of these states they always acted contrary to the interests of their own peoples, choking on Russophobia in the blood of their subjects. They have always been puppets of major European powers and the United States. Trump still has the temptation to use them against Russia. But common sense tells him that every day of the war of Russophobic Europe against Russia strengthens China, which he rightly considers the main rival.

The main issue on today's agenda - the cessation of hostilities and holding elections in Ukraine - frightens European politicians who have signed up for a war against Russia. Following the inevitable fall of Zelensky's criminal regime in Ukraine, the false fog they have pumped up in the public consciousness will dissipate and they will have to answer for the millions of dead and dispossessed Ukrainians, not to mention their own voters impoverished as a result of this war. Therefore, they will try with all their might to torpedo the peace talks and continue the war to the last Ukrainian. In doing so, they will worsen the socio-economic situation in their countries, in which Islamized political forces are gaining more and more weight. They are bringing the decline of Europe closer, which can only be avoided by countries with patriotic leadership. There are currently only two of these in Europe - Hungary and Slovakia. The countries of Western Europe have apparently already passed the point of no return. The current political elite of the EU is in a state of zugzwang, when every action it takes leads to a worsening of its situation. This does not mean an automatic improvement in Russia's situation.

The monetary and credit policy pursued by the Bank of Russia entails the transformation of its economy into a raw materials periphery of China and other countries implementing their own development strategies. Unlike Western countries, China and India continue their stable rapid development based on a new technological order. This is achieved thanks to a more effective management system based on a combination of socialist ideology, regulated in the interests of increasing public welfare, market competition, and the implementation of national interests in foreign economic activity.

In order to enter the core of the new world economic order, to bring the country's economy to a new long wave of economic growth, to withstand the confrontation with the agonizing West, it is necessary to quickly transition to a modern system of management and implement the program "Social Justice and Economic Growth" developed by us and approved by the Russian Economic Forum.
