What to do and What Not to do While Pregnant

The right information can help you sail through pregnancy with confidence and ease. So here’s a list of pregnancy do’s and don’ts by Dr. Max Mongrelli. This list emphasizes what you should & shouldn’t be worried about. It is imperative to know these guidelines and general tips before your precious little bundle of joy arrive.

Pregnancy Do's According to Max Mongrelli:

1. Focus on Getting All Your Vitamins

Having a balanced diet that contains several vitamins, minerals, and nutrients can be challenging, but it is necessary for the health of the baby. Even if you do manage to have an all-around balanced diet, it might not be able to fuel all your vitamin requirements. Therefore, Dr. Max Mongrelli recommends that one takes prenatal vitamins which include high quantities of folic acid, calcium, and iron. Furthermore, it is recommended to ask your doctor to recommend a set of multivitamins.

Caution: do not take more than one dose of multivitamins as vitamins in a larger quantity can be harmful to the baby.

2. Sleep is Key

During the nine months of your pregnancy, there will be a shift of hormones which can induce anxiety and stress, sleep is essential during these times and may help calm you down. Set your sleep goal for around 7-9 hours in the night with occasional naps here and there.

3. Work Out

Dr. Max Mongrelli has observed that women who exercise regularly have a much healthier birthing process than women who do not work out. Regular exercise can help you fight several issues that arise during pregnancy like insomnia, muscle pain, mood problems, and excessive weight gain.

Pregnancy DON’Ts according to Max Mongrelli:

1. Don’t Smoke

Women who smoke during pregnancy give birth to children having a higher disability rate and are born weaker. If you care about the health of the child, do not smoke during the pregnancy period.

2. Don’t Drink Alcohol

Alcohol can significantly impact your baby’s mental psyche and development. People who drink alcohol during pregnancy could give birth to a baby with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. (FAS)

It is essential to take care of your little one and welcome them into the world in a healthy manner. Apart from these don’ts, Max Mongrelli suggests that one should further avoid eating raw meat, deli meat, sitting in a hot tub or sauna, and more. Hoping your little bundle of joy is born safely!
