The film of Lee Cronin's director (The Hole in the Ground) Evil Dead Rise is coming exclusively to theaters on the 21st of April 2023. Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence), Morgan Davies (The End) and Nell Fisher (Splendid Isolation) appear alongside Alyssa Sutherland as well as Lily Sullivan.

"In this, the sixth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth makes an unplanned visit to her sister Ellie who has three children by herself in the cramped L.A apartment. The reunion of the sisters is interrupted by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie's house, giving flesh-possessing monsters the chance to take over, and thrusting Beth into a primal struggle for survival as she is faced with the most frightening mommyhood story you can imagine."

Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert are producing Evil Dead Rise. According to Campbell, the three have been "very involved" with the project at every stage of the process.

She tells Beth to not let the spirit that has possessed her hurt her kids. Beth is now tasked with safeguarding her children from the terrifying deadite who has possessed their mom.

In this new story, "a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her elder sister Ellie, who is raising three children on her own in the cramped L.A apartment.
