Skills4Pharmacy is a national pharmacy training provider, dedicated to initiating and furthering the careers of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers. Skills4Pharmacy are experts in this area and has a team of tutors ready to guide and support learners on their journey to certification.

Skills4Pharmacy can offer you a range of pharmacy training courses to choose from, and once you have completed your level 2 or level 3 pharmacy apprenticeship, you will receive the relevant qualification. The training Skills4Pharmacy provides will help you in your apprenticeship, and by the end of your apprenticeship, the learner will have gained the skills and knowledge needed to enhance your business from within.

Apprenticeships allow businesses to combine work and studying by mixing on-the-job training and traditional learning, with the help of the delivery team. Learners gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy and will have the very best pharmacy staff to help them along their pharmaceutical journey.

Typical Pharmacy Apprenticeships by a Pharmacy Training provider include:

• Pharmacy technician

• Pharmacy support worker

• Team leader

• Business & Administration

• Diploma for managers

Each apprenticeship Skills4Pharmacy provides will have a different duration time depending on the course with an endpoint assessment after a minimum of 12 months required for the trainee.

The minimum wage for an apprentice is £4.81p/h, however, some employers will pay more compared to others. All of Skills4Pharmacy’s courses are Government funded, so learners do not have to worry about any upfront costs when undertaking an apprenticeship. Each employer will decide the entry requirements for each apprenticeship but may typically be 5 GCSEs at Grade C or even higher.

Skills4Pharmacy provides a Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, which is perfect for potential learners looking to start their pharmacy training and start their pharmacy career. By completing this apprenticeship, the apprentice will be under the tuition of a pharmacist.

The pharmacist will develop the role of the apprentice so they can deal with routine queries and enable them to be involved in professional discussions with the pharmacist regarding more complex issues. A pharmacy technician must be able to understand prescription labels and provide customers with the correct information regarding their medications.

The Pharmacy Support Worker course is very popular at Skills4Pharmacy. This member of the pharmacy team will be supervised by a pharmacy technician in all areas of pharmacy practice.

Pharmacy Training at Skills4Pharmacy is one of the most important aspects of becoming a qualified pharmacy member of staff. They will learn about the various medicines available, how they interact with other drugs, and how to dispense them safely and effectively.
