What is listing?
Listing comes from the English word “list”, meaning а “register” or а “catalog.”
In the stock market, listing officially confirms that a company is eligible to participate in exchange trading. It involves an assessment of the company’s financial condition and the liquidity level of its securities. After completing the listing procedure, a company gains access to trading on the exchange and earns greater trust from investors.
Through listing, a company:
- demonstrates its financial and legal stability;
- ensures transparency and builds investors' trust;
- gains the opportunity to offer its shares for public trading on the market.
