What is AR or Augmented reality (AR)
PetterAugmented Reality (AR) does not require a wearable device, unlike virtual reality. Apps like Snapchat and Projectors and PC are making AR more accessible on smartphones. AR is expected to become mainstream more than VR. Despite its potential mass adoption, AR is still less well-known than virtual reality.

Smart glasses are being widely considered the next breakthrough in wearable technology and will soon be a part of our everyday lives. It has been a difficult task for both major tech companies and start-ups to put virtual screens in front consumers' eyes on a daily basis. But that could soon change.
Apple is already working on the first generation of Smartglasses. Rumours suggest that it will be delayed until 2022. However, Apple can often make things explode. AR is still waiting for its first mass-market device. Rumours claiming that Apple will provide it may prove to be true, especially if they are correct about the $499 price tag. History has shown us that everyone tries to imitate Apple's success.
We will be looking at AR Smartglasses pioneers. Apple is not the first to market. Although most of them are only for enterprises, that doesn't mean they can't be bought if you have the right financial resources.
Out of many VR headsets available in the market. One of my personal favourite VR headsets which is a futureproof headset is the Varjo aero. It's a professional-grade VR headset with dual mini LED displays, edge-to-edge clarity with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a comfortable ergonomic design that allows users to immerse themselves in virtual reality without breaking a sweat. Rumours claiming that Apple is launching a competitor to their product are true, according to Apple. Facebook has already confirmed it will launch Smartglasses by 2021. Augmented reality is a way to merge virtual and real worlds, overlaying data on the environment around you. Facebook already has a strong presence in virtual worlds, having launched it's Oculus Quest 2 headset back in 2020. Facebook sees similar potential for AR in the Quest 2 headset, which has been sold millions of times.
