Ever wonder what your girlfriend really thinks about porn ? Well, she likely indulges in the X-rated habit herself, especially since 1 in 4 YouPorn visitors are female, according to a recent survey of 24,000 women that use the site.

Plus, 16 percent of women say watching porn is a way to satisfy their fantasies without actually acting on them, according to the survey.
Even so, you might be wondering what turns her on during her solo sessions. According to the YouPorn survey, women go straight for what they know: 34 percent of women choose videos that include people they can relate to, meaning they’re a similar age, weight, and ethnicity. What’s more, 28 percent of women prefer videos that include a female lead or dominant character.
Seeing that 56 percent of women reported that they’ve imagined themselves in a porn video, it’s not exactly surprising women prefer videos they can relate to.
But we wanted more specifics, so we turned to science. In a study published in the Journal of Sex Research last year, researchers surveyed more than 2,000 men and women about their top-viewed genres of porn .
The search terms that topped the list for women? Oral sex , threesomes, soft-core, women, gang-bang, and large penises. (Good news for you, since oral sex and threesomes were favored by men, too.)
If you’re really curious, rest assured that most women in the YouPorn survey aren’t too shy about their viewing habits: 69 percent of them reported that they wouldn’t be embarrassed if their significant other discovered that they watch porn, even though a majority of women prefer to watch it alone.

For instance, only in four countries — Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Madagascar and Somalia — is the “Big Dick” category most popular. As it turns out, many women aren’t even into watching large men, which is probably slightly comforting for most of you, statistically speaking.
Over on the Western half of the globe, girl-on-girl is by far and away the most searched for. We don’t know exactly what to make of that exactly, but you’re free to postulate all you want.
Taking a closer look at the United States, the study also looked at what category, after “Lesbian,” was most viewed in each state in comparison to women’s preferences across the country. The “Ebony” category is popular among the Southern states, “Bondage” is big in Missouri, Ohio and Pennsylvania, and Washington women are randomly into Hentai.
