They put a story on the web site about how he found them and thus got named "Farang Ding Dong" (refers to the German discoverer of "these girls"). I think you have slightly misunderstood something.
'Farang' is a term used by Thais meaning foreigner, so we are the 'Farangs' and not them.
You're also possibly thinking of 'ping pong' girls not 'ding dong' and this is because they perform adult related acts for paying customers involving ping pong balls (use your imagination) and yes they do exist mainly in the seedier areas of Bangkok (Patpong)
