What Is Believe In God?
God is entirely pure without even the smallest tint of wrong in His nature. Holy God is the architect of honesty, patience, purity, holiness, love and much, much more than that. And that is the way He created our planet.
Do I Have To Believe In God?
God has certain expectations for us because of who He is, not because He wants to make things difficult. He is doomed to always be and do the same thing. God can only act in ways that are consistent with who He is.
It's like the rules that can never be changed, no matter what.
The God of the Bible created both the vast universe and the microscopic world we cannot see. Discover what the Bible says in this segment:
"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. (Isaiah 42:8)
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:24)
The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. (Psalm 113:4)
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)
All the angels were standing around the throne...They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (Revelation 7:11)
Most people today have only been exposed to the idea of God, they haven't really met Him.
Everything in the universe belongs to God, including us, and He wants what's His. He wants us to love and serve Him in return for all He's done for us.
God is the one who created the world, and He has the power to make it however He wants, even if we find it challenging to come to terms with. We would be in charge of setting the rules if we made it. However, God says:
'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.' (Deuteronomy 6:5-6)
God didn't remove danger to make life easier because it would mean we'd have no free will and be like robots. But that's the opposite of God's plan. God wanted beings that would willingly choose to love Him.
Something that was comparable to God in certain aspects.
When people have free will, they could decide to leave you, which is a gamble.
Giving someone the ability to choose for themselves can lead to them rebelling against you, and that's what we did. It's a concern because we all have things that we do or think that are considered wrong according to the Bible. When we do these things, it's like going against the very essence of God's nature and holiness, and it's like breaking the laws of the universe that He ordained. We are no longer connected to God because of these wrong things.
'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?'(Jeremiah 17:9)
'But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.' (Psalm 19:12)
Be aware that every bad thing you do incurs a debt that must be paid to God.
What we're responsible for with God:'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.' (Matthew 6:12)
Do you see how all these things are a violation of the perfect purity of God.
Have you ever stolen something? The Bible says it's a bad thing to do.
The Bible teaches us that it's wrong to desire things that belong to other people. Have you ever felt envious of your friend's wife, life, stuff or house?
Showing respect to our parents is a commandment from God. Did you ever argue with your parents when they told you to do something?
Using God's Name in vain or carelessly is against His wishes. Have you ever said God's Name disrespectfully or as a throwaway phrase?
There's nothing that God doesn't know; He knows it all. Don't forget, we saw that ALL the bad things must be put right. A time will come when ALL bad thing MUST be judged, Or you could say, reconciled to be in harmony with the unchangeable laws of the universe. In the Bible, it's called soothing God's anger. This will come as a shock to most people, because they have been told that God loves everyone so much, It's a widespread belief that God could never be angry with anyone, no matter how much they sin. Many people who are unaware of the basics argue that God is supposed to love us unconditionally.
It's true that God loves the world, but we must also respect His holiness. It's out of the question.
Our attempts to understand the eternal God through our expectations, conduct, and earthly criteria are in vain.
The Bible shows us how God is completely beyond this world and anything we know. We can't force God to follow our rules, it's like trying to make something fake become real.
People wrongly blame God for the things that go wrong in the world, but it is not Godâs fault. The things He made were without blemish. Adam screwed up and we're still suffering from it.
As stated in the Bible...
'For all have sinned (done wrongs things), and do need the glory of God. wrongs' (Romans 3:23)
You can't just be a good person and do good things to escape the consequences of bad thoughts and behavior. Your salvation is only possible through Jesus Christ. Simply being a good person and attending church won't prevent you from going to hell. To be forgiven, we must acknowledge our mistakes and ask God for true repentance. We need to commit ourselves entirely to God after asking for forgiveness.
Again, the Bible tells us that bad actions have severe consequences, like being punished in hell:
'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 6:23)
God's Payment for Your Mistakes
The great news is that God made a way to make up for all the wrong things we do, so we can follow the laws of the universe that never change.Jesus Christ was sent by God to die and rise again, as part of God's glorious plan. This incredible plan was executed for everyone to see, including humans, angels, and Satan. We can't fix our wrongs with anything else.
Constantly, I hear people asking âHow can God be so strict, I thought He was a God of love?â Love is a significant component of God's essence., but, God's love and justice are both very real, as the Bible clearly explains. Both are needed, not just one.
We can't expect to understand God with our own standards of thinking. Believing God will obey our rules gives us an incorrect understanding of Him. God knows your every thought, so there's no way to deceive or trick Him.
Give Your Life to God After Apologizing
When you've sincerely apologized for your wrongs, you feel drawn to a life of devotion to God. God instructs us to do this specifically. It's like making God the leader of our lives for eternity. We obey every instruction in the Bible. The Bible suggests that's the proper way to do things:
'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)
God never made this statement; âJust be a good or nice person, do many good things for other people, and you will be saved and live with me in heaven.â
Here's what the Most High God said about being forgiven of your sins:
'To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:
"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed:'God, I thank you that I am not like other people--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said,'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 18:9-14)
In the story, the religious man avoided "bad" sins like grand theft, but he was not forgiven by God.
Even though the tax collector cheated, he was forgiven by God because he felt truly sorry and repented. Admitting our mistakes and handing our lives over to God is a hard thing to do. Although, surrendering to God and admitting our faults is necessary for salvation.
According to Jesus Christ:
'He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
'And said, âTruly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.' (Matthew 18:2-3)
Merely doing good things for God won't guarantee our salvation; being saved from hell doesn't depend on our moral goodness.
'You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.' (Ephesians 2:8)Are You Ready To Turn Away From Your Mistakes And Let Jesus Pay For Them, Or Not?
'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)Every day, we must live for God and put His will before our own.
Another thing the Bible mentions is:
'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)
'But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.' (1Peter 3:15)
To make it easier to grasp:
You become aware of your faults and imperfections in God's presence. You honestly accept responsibility for your error. Jesus Christ takes charge of your life. It's a commitment for the entirety of your life. The Bible tells us to live for God, and that's exactly what we do. Read the Bible every day to strengthen your relationship with God. Dedicate time each day for prayer to God. Helping others to come to God. Serving others in accordance with God's will. The focus of your life becomes serving God Most High for eternity.
And then our Heavenly Father will bring us to heaven.
