I dont know if i should laugh or cry. My mother in law had planned a cruise for her 70th birthday with 2 girlfriends on the Radiance Of THe Seas, leaving April 25 for five nights. To make a long story short, she found out most of the passengers will be swingers/wife swappers/nudists etc ...:eek:

Well, it might be an interesting cruise! We once were in a hotel that was hosting a "swingers" event....the hallways were hopping at night! Didn't bother us, but it was something to talk about later!
It is a chartered cruise. Can't book it through Royal.
She should join the roll call thread here on cc.

I'm not sure of the itinerary, but she can at least be assured there wont be naked folks in the MDR or wandering the halls. RCI has - on some itins - a topless deck but they are not really prone to let naked folks wander freely unless they charter the whole ship.
Your MIL most likely wont notice anything amiss unless she looks for it.
Pretty sure she can still cancel if she doesn't want that kind of vacation. Just a thought. :o

If it's a chartered cruise that can't be booked through Royal, your MIL should be on the phone with her travel agent right away, getting herself moved to something else. Her travel agent should've known better - and IMO should eat any costs for changing things (like flights, if she ends up having to go a different day/week).
I remember a few years back when a similiar cruise sailed on RCCL along with unexpected families. All hell let loose and parents were up in arms over the antics going on. From what I remember at least family was booted off the ship for fighting. Most events were held privately but if I do remember the Solarium was closed off to regular passengers but the view while walking by was something not to be seen by children. There were stories about videos being shot on balconies and men walking the halls with thongs. So I'd definitely try to change this cruise if it may be upsetting to their cruise.
Not most - all of them will be. No way is she booked on it through RCI. If she is booked on it she is booked through the group who has the ship chartered and she had to have booked it a while back since from what I've read they only have waiting lists for these cruises.

we were on mariner last may with a cougar club. really no big deal but some good entertainment at times especially around pool.
And from what I heard about the ship takeover - same ship/same group - in November, most of the people were in his mother in law's age range. It sounded like a naked HAL cruise :eek: - not a pretty sight. Walkers and wheelchairs included.
