Growing up in the ’80s meant watching John Hughes movies weird Science. The classic film starred Kelly LeBrock as Lisa, Anthony Michael Hall as Gary, and Ilan Mitchell-Smith as Wyatt. It is one of Hughes’ many comedies that combine a strange coming-of-age story with goofy and teenage fantasy.
Fans can name every memorable scene in the film, including Lisa’s first appearance and the moment she made Chet talkative. And then there was the shower scene (which can’t fly by today’s standards). Although Hall and Mitchell-Smith played mad scientists in the film, they did a fun job that made it challenging for LeBrock to get through the shower scene.

Throughout the film, Lisa trains Gary and Wyatt for their confidence, standing up for themselves, and looking “cool”. But he also took care of their goons. During the panel discussion, LeBrock expressed that his character did an amazing job for them by taking the boys under his wing. The cast credited Hughes’ interest in the subject because they wanted their characters to learn lessons.
