List of WebM video hosts and gallery sites
A place to share and discuss WebMs.
Deserved a post about it, as there are now several hosts and WebM browsing sites.
[t] = Supports Reddit thumbnails (when using the normal, non-direct link).
GfyCat [t] - Originally made for GIF -> WebM conversion, now supports direct uploads (select the 'Simple Upload' option). 15 second duration limit, no filesize limit.
WebMShare [t] - Host currently in beta, and supports optional auto play/looping/and muting, with the ability to caption submissions. 8MB limit.
Uguu.se - General purpose temporary host (1 day expiration). 100MB limit. From the original creator of Pomf.se, useful for non-permanent uploads.
W0BM - Requires registration to upload AFAIK (haven't tested it yet). Unknown upload limit.
GfyCat - Vine style searchable clips, ordered by tags and popularity.
W0BM - Hosted videos are displayed individually and at random when viewing the home page and categories. A kind of mystery surprise type concept. Update (2020-01-24): now no longer displays anything without registration.
WebMLand - Host that also doubles as a WebM gallery. Unknown file size limit. Note: videos appear to be deleted after a couple months, likely due to hosting capacity.
Mixtape.moe - General purpose host, similar to Pomf.se. 100MB limit. Shut down in 2019.
HandBeezy - WebM/MP4 host with anonymous comment ability. Unknown file size limit. Note : the homepage always directs to the last user posted video (while NSFW uploads are hidden by default I wouldn't be surprised if some slip through). Includes text-based index of user uploaded videos by title.
WebMUp - Unknown file size limit. Also one of the few to work without the need for Javascript. Seems to be down.
Pomf.se - General purpose host, possibly the most popular for hosting original quality WebM files. 50MB limit. No longer up, however Archive.org are mirroring all existing links.
Mediacru.sh [t] - General purpose host with video support. 50MB limit. No longer up, however archives are being mirrored through Imgrush.com ( see this post ).
WebM Zone [t] - A new host that doubles as a gallery. 20-25MB limit. No longer up.
WebM Zone - Dedicated WebM gallery. A more minimalist approach. Unfortunately there are a number of GIF conversions too, with no way to filter them. Also is a host (see above). No longer up.
Imgrush - General purpose media host, built on the original Mediacru.sh platform. Unknown file size limit.
GfyCats - Browse WebM clips, Imgur style. Also features an upload button on the site for GfyCat. Only downside is there's currently no way to filter GIF conversions from original quality clips. Note: the site has changed ownership and appears to no longer be updated with fresh content.

[2020-01-24] Handbeezy.com is now defunct according to owner, also WebMLand. Mixtape.moe shut down last year. W0BM seems to be exclusively for registered users.

By the way, in your sidebar you say "Post direct to the webm.", and I thought I'd mention that posting direct links to webm files messes up some of the things MediaCrush does to assure compatability with all devices and browsers.

I saw another site mention this as well, so for Safari and IE I'm guessing? I know thumbnail support only works with the non-direct link.
Can I just say I love MediaCrush? Most definitely the RES support is way too good. I hope it becomes more popular as webM's hopefully do.

It is still beta version but the the main functionalities are working well. You can also upload gif, avi, mp4, mpeg files with automatic conversion to webm. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.
Nice, just tested it. One thing you might want to look at is Reddit thumbnail support, as I tested in a submission and no thumbnail appeared.
I like the ability to caption submissions anonymously, something more hosts should allow for when uploading.
