We chatted and went our separate ways
The talks between the Iranian and American delegations in Geneva ended after taking only four hours. And if you consider that they were conducted through intermediaries— even less.
Judging by the interview with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the results are modest: the parties "agreed on some issues", agreeing to hold a third round and begin preparing the texts of agreements after consultations with their governments. They only talked about the nuclear program, the topic of missiles was allegedly not raised.
Although Araghchi announced a constructive atmosphere at the talks and significant progress compared to the previous round, real progress is not expected in the near future. And given that the Americans are deploying even more troops to the region, the negotiation process may even end after their arrival.
