Da Lex Luger seine Teilnahme am Main Event schon im Vorfeld als Ausrede dafür benutzte, sich aus dem - von ihm selbst provozierten - Tag Team Street Fight gegen die Road Warriors zu stehlen, bot sich Booker T dem Stinger als einmaliger Ersatzpartner an. Allerdings nur unter der Bedingung, dass im Falle eines gemeinsamen Sieges Harlem Heat umgehend ein Titelmatch gegen Luger und Sting erhalten würde.

[ 4.0 ] "The Main Event is a ridiculous mess that almost crosses over into being peversely entertaining at certain points. The rest of the show is a pretty middling effort outside of a really good Regal/Finlay stiff-fest. It's probably not as bad a show as it is often described at, but it's not an especially good one either. They probably could have shaved 15 minutes off the street fight and about 5 off the opener and given it to some of the other talented guys on the roster like Malenko, Benoit, Eaton etc, which would have likely bumped the overall show quality up a bit"

For a match called Uncensored and there was "no rules" as it was touted, but yet there was rules the entire match until the very end with the street fight and the main event. Watch Finlay and Regal on this night and then turn off the show, it is not worth watching for any wrestling fan."

[ 3.0 ] "The event most famous - or infamous - for the Doomsday Cage match. While the cage structure itself was impressive visually, the match held within was pretty lousy in execution, serving mainly as a way for a way-past-expiration babyface Hogan to look invincible at the expense of numerous other talents (including Flair and Anderson) - the way it was structured, even Hogan's partner Savage came off as something of an afterthought. The card is not a total loss, though; the opening matches include a very good, hard-hitting brawl between Regal and Finlay, and a pretty good US Title match between Eddie and Konnan. The tag team Chicago Street Fight, with the Road Warriors taking on Sting and Booker T, might also be worth looking up; it does seem to drag at points during its 30-minute runtime but there is also some good action there."
[ 2.0 ] "Almost three hours of terrible Wrestling, except for the first two matches, both good, with Regal vs Finlay even great. Konnan vs Guerrero is enjoyable, a bit stale because they ignore the crowd. After that, it's downhill, with a horrible DDP vs Booty Man, a terrible but short Giant vs Loch Ness, an acceptable Street Fight match, and one of the worst matches in WCW, the main event with the Doomsday Cage. I'd suggest to avoid it after the fist two matches."

[ 4.0 ] "This event is not very good, yet I feel the hate towards it has gone so far it should actually come back the other way a little bit. Eddie/Konnan is actually a pretty good opener, not an all time great match but excellent in times, especially Eddie's performance. Regal/Finlay is by FAR the match of the night, a legitimately awesome bout and one of the best WCW put on that year. It really helps bring the event up. Things decline from there obviously. Madusa/Parker is pretty bad, though I guess it could have been worse. DDP/Beefcake is a TERRIBLE match, it feels like it goes on forever. Beefcake is seriously hopeless as a performer at this point, just awful. Giant/Loch Ness is not good yet not as bad as expected. The sheer spectacle of it is kind of hypnotic, and Giant takes a CRAZY bump to the floor. I expected to find RW/Sting & Booker dull but it was actually kind of great, it could definitely be edited but the good parts were quite good and I thought the end was very clever. The main event is, obviously, incredibly stupid, but even that was not quite as bad as expected. It's got a bizarre quality to it that makes it hard to look away, plus mercifully Hogan and Savage are mostly fighting 2 on 2 due to the cage structure, so they are not actually beating up 8 guys at once. That said it's still terrible of course, just not quite as terrible as some would have you believe. Overall a few matches definitely worth watching, and a few bad things that could have been a lot worse."
