As Halloween rolls around, Bridget organizes a seance and embarks on a ghost hunt to track down the spooky spirits she believes haunt the Mansion.
Bridget brings Hef and the gang to her hometown of Lodi, California for a delectable day of wining, dining and some good old-fashioned grape stomping.
Hef and his honeys head to the Big Apple to promote their special Playboy cover, but when a TV interview turns sour, the girls nerves end up rattled.
The girls whirlwind Playboy promo tour lands them in Hef's birthplace of Chicago, where they meet a fellow Hefner and take in the Chi-town nightlife.
Bridget throws a killer 1920s murder-themed birthday bash, complete with swanky attire, a mysterious scavenger hunt and loads of fabulous fanfare.
In the season finale, Hef and his women tear up Vegas as they promote the opening of the new Playboy Club at the Palms.

This show is definitely my guilty little pleasure. I am not a reality T.V. fan, however when this show ran I caught a few episodes of it and I was hooked! I just adore Holly, Bridget and Kendra. They each have their own charisma that makes them all lovable for different reasons. Lots of eye candy and well played dumb blonde hilarity. Its fascinating to watch as they jet all around the country and world, passing off lingere as clothes and having a blast being young, blonde, rich and HEF's girls. Its also very interesting to see all of the day to day things that let's you know these people are just 100% normal people, who just happened upon a very unique existence. The genuine affection between Hef and Holly is actually quite adorable. At first its like "oh my gosh these chicks cannot be seriously interested in this guy", but it becomes quickly clear that Holly and Bridget both care about him very much. I bought seasons 1-5 here on Amazon. All the discs were in good shape but 3 of the cases were broken, Which was not a big deal to me since I have extra cases laying around. I refuse to own Season 6 because Holly, Bridget and Kendra aren't really a part of it (except for their leaving episodes). On top of that I genuinely could not stand Crystal or the Twins, all three of them had just awful, catty, snotty personalities. This show was over for me at Season 5, the girls in Season 6 lacked all the charisma the other 3 had, after 5 seasons of Holly, Bridget and Kendra it was their show and the other 3 were pretty much doomed not to fit from the start.

I love this series! I really love the vivid and colorful video work. I love the fact that the young lady stars are so different and funny and unique. I love Hugh's interaction with them. I love the fact that we get to see the P Mansion, and feel like we're living with them inside. The women are incredibly intelligent, well spoken, and just a little bit crazy. This makes for a very interesting and unique reality show. Watching this show reminds me of how when we men were young boys, and we used to try to sneak a watch on HBO, when our parents were asleep. But, with this DVD set, we can watch at our leisure, and rewind all the cute, funny and sexy parts, and re-watch over and over again. It's really quite exciting! I love how its' uncensored, so we get to see sexy female bodies. I love how every episode has a commentary (censored or uncensored) thought I can't imagine watching this with my kids.) How many times have we men not fantasized about being on the set of a centerfold spread shoot? Well, you get to experience it here. It's really quite exciting watching a beautiful girl, show up for a shoot, all covered up. And then watching the clothes come off, as she shows off her body for the snapping pictures of the cameraman. Stop reading right here, and pick this one up. You'll love it! Well, I have the coolest wife in the world because she has become a big fan of Playboy and Hugh Hefner. This series is part of the reason. She loves the girls, especially Bridget and gets a huge kick out of their pets and daily routines. Kendra is the most sexy but she's my least favorite because of her lack of class and attitude that to me seems to indicate she takes her incredible good fortune for granted. Holly is my favorite because not only is she beautiful but also smart and seems to genuinely appreciate Hugh's generosity.

We get to watch Holly, Kendra, and Bridget have so much fun doing the parties and traveling and so much more. People need to get past of the fact that these girls live at the mansion and is spoiled by Hefner. He loves these young girls and it makes him happy. Let's get past that and just enjoy that these girls are funny and sexy and looks great. They are funny at times, and I love watching these cute bubbly girls. The show can be additive. I also love seeing all the very cute and sexy outfits they would wear and what an Eye Candy show this is. One of the funniest saying is when Kendra called the 'Wake-up call guy' and she said, "Yeah, I'm waking you up Bi-otch" - that was so fricking hilarious. I love all the girls and it's very enjoyable to watch. I was so happy to see that the DVD is uncensored and that is fantastic!

This was one of my favorite television series of all time. (With the original girls, the twins and Crystal were horrible!) I like to pop in the DVDs when I feel like ignoring the demands of real life and escaping to a silly, frivolous lifestyle, at least on the surface. Rumor has it there's a much darker side to the story, but that is not what I'm watching it for. I enjoy the personalities of the girls, but I wish they included a little more of the staff. My favorite is Bryant the butler! It's interesting to see what goes into maintaining the lifestyle, putting on the parties, etc. All in all, these DVDs are a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon!

This is 3 disks of Hugh Hefner as he has three blonds living at the Playboy Mansion. There is 19-year-old Kendra from San Diego who appears to be a jock, Briget who is from Lodi, CA, and doe-eyed Holly who says she is 25 and wants to have children when she is 30. (She also says she was raised in a cloning lab and would make the perfect wife, appears believeable, she has good posture) She has been with Hef 5 years. There are NINE dog and an unrulely cat. The three disks contain 14 episodes of the show with an un-shown pilot called 'Hef's World' that is in most of Episode 1. It appears that Hef wants to surround himself with gals who have little experience in anything. Holly says she has never gambled as they hang out in Las Vegas. Kendra can only name The Statue of Liberty as the only thing she knows in New York. When Kendra says she wants to go to the ESPYs Hef's personal assistant says she will take care of the arrangements as she does not want Kendra to "muck it up." Doesn't sound like they respect the girls that much. The episodes folly the girls as they do differnet things, at one point they fly SOUTHWEST to Las Vegas and stay at the Hefner Suite. It is an interesting existance as the girls at times say the oddest things and do no realize that they appear foolish. Product placements as they visit places. Famous people appear at differenet functions. They raise $ for diabetes research. The main story of the season is their potential appearance in the magazine, Holly explains she will be a legit girlfriend if she appears in the magazine like Barbi Benton, one of Hef's old girls friends. Barbi shows up in one episode and wants to talk about the old days. Hef seems to have trouble remembering those days as he is 80-years-old now. Along the way there is occasional skin bared and swearing as they finally shoot for [[ASIN:B001TBN4QQ PLAYBOY MAGAZINE 2005 November Issue The Girls Next Door (Holly Madison - Bridget Marquardt - Kendra Wilkinson)]]. When Briget has to miss part of the shoot to go to school she cries until Hef agrees to reshoot so she can be in the pictures. He seems to care for them, perhaps he just does not want them to be unhappy. That would be terrible. They all four go to NY and Chicago to promote the magazine. They visit Hef's old school and house. Interesting. People come out to see them. They attend a magazine signing where a guy brings his bowling ball to be signed, he wants to be a part of fame. There is commentary available that is sometimes interesting and sometimes annoying. There are some deleted scenes, some should have been deleted and some contain some value. A sad part is when the girls visit Lodi and Holly is constantly on the phone with Hef afraid that a 'randon girl' is going to swoop in and take her spot. That is how it works. They are only there for a little while until Hef is done with them. The viewer feels like they are friends with them and know them as we are privy to their phone calls. Their family members visit the mansion and a sister stays for the summer. Interesting. Like they are American Royalty.

I think this show is so cute, and NOTHING like I would expect it to be. You get preconceived notions about what a show from the Playboy mansion would be, and how the girls are, and most of it is not what I expected! Bridget, Holly and Kendra are 3 girls living with Hugh Hefner. Bridget has a college degree (and a masters and is working on a second I believe!) Holly is Hef's number one girl, and she seems very smart and organized, and Kendra is the sporty girl, full of energy! Their interactions with Hef are sweet and it seems like they are all good friends (exception of Holly who is Hef's girlfriend the most out of all of them) I like this show because it has the glamour and fun of the Playboy parties, but it also shows them in their downtime, playin' with their dogs and being normal girls! This is the first season and it comes on 3 discs...the girls give commentary on each episode if you want to hear it...it is cool because it almost seems like 2 times the episodes, because you hear their take on each thing... Also, there are a few extras as mentioned, and for the people that want to know, yes there is some nudity, and no bleeping for swear words... I really enjoy this show and hope it continues on for a while!!!

The Girls Next Door Season 1 is a wonderful television show. I fully enjoyed watching it on tv but after I purchased it on DVD it is now a favorite part of my DVD collection. This is a great show, one that should not be judged on the cover. It shows that these girls are not superficial gold-diggers but that they are kind and caring young women. The Girls Next Door helps define a generation where people are more liberal and free to be who are they are. We are no longer a closed-eye society but one that likes and appreciates new ways of thinking, just like these girls. When else would it be acceptable for a man aged eighty-two to have three girlfriends, all under the age of 35? The answer is, only at the Playboy Mansion. This DVD collection is one that is great, colorful, and entertaining. It is light and fun-loving and can bring a smile to a seemingly boring day. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a little escape from reality.Not only would I recommend Season 1, but look onward to the newest seasons, because they only get better. Purchasing this series on DVD only makes it better because you can watch it over and over, whenever you like. The DVD also contains bonus information and things that you would not be able to see. The DVD episodes are also un-censored, unlike watching it on television. Therefore, I would not recommend to show the DVD version of this show to young children, but perhaps refer them to the television version instead.
