Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment by adding new attachments. They can also boost its stats base or add additional benefits. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory, and also access the kiln.
Items with weak bases, such as rings, can be upgraded into stronger bases. Items with strong bases, like Titans from eth, have no changes in their stats.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, providing an added bonus or effect while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, gathered in loot, thrown away by enemies or as a reward for missions or chests. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level before you can upgrade.
To upgrade the quality of a weapon, armor or other item in the game, players will have to select it and click the Upgrade button on the toolbar. The preview will appear on the right side of the screen showing what the expected upgrade statistics will be as well as the necessary component or material needed for the upgrade to take place.
There are three kinds of upgrade components including universal upgrades, prefix upgrades and suffix upgrades. Leveling
Path of Exile's upgrade system is different from previous versions in several fundamental ways. Gear is now classified into tracks and each item can only be upgraded so many times before it's "leveled out." The upgrade cost increases with each level however the materials required aren't as high. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a select few items and maximize the effect of these items, rather than spreading the cost of upgrades across several pieces.

If an item fails to attain its maximum level, the NPC will give the player the option to transfer it to a different character and re-infuse it with an upgrade set that is different. The process can take as long as two hours and will cost the same amount of materials however it will result in lower chances of success.
Engineers will employ a level to measure the height of the building to an established point, like an existing benchmark. This is known as a "level loop." This involves taking readings using the level, backsighting rod, and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method guarantees that the buildings are constructed with a high degree of precision and safety.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of altering the upgrade components of an item. It is an essential element of the game and can improve the damage, strength or other characteristics. In the past, some upgrade items had priority affixes which made them easier to roll for than others. These included things such as the armor's total armor, thorns and duration reduction statistics that were controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.
This has changed since the most recent patch. Priority affixes were removed, and all upgrades have the identical chance of rolling each stat. item upgrader can be a great or a bad thing, depending on your needs and wants from your equipment.
Each upgraded item could come with a unique, fixed-value bonus that increases its power by a specific percentage. These bonuses are added to the standard affixes. The more you improve a product, the greater the chance of receiving the bonus of a different kind.
