Wallpaper Requesting & Sending

Please read the following to have a better understanding on how to better participate in the wallpaper group. Listed below are tips and recommendations, not rules (following them is not mandatory, but highly recommended for everyone's sake.)

Requesting wallpapers

If the wallpaper is from an Apple Hub post, check pinned messages first as they get uploaded and pinned as well.

Before requesting

1. Look under descriptions, bios, etc. where you saw the wallpaper to find any links for a source.
2. See if someone's already asked for it under the comment section and if they've been linked to the source.
3. Pinging an already sent request in the group is usually useless, as most of the wallpapers are at least tried to be found.
4. Doing so can still be needed in some cases, but make sure to check replies to the message before re-pinging. Someone may have already replied to the message with wallpaper file.
5. You can try finding the wallpaper via reverse image search (i.e Google Lens, etc.) yourself too, although not necessary.

How to request

1. Share an image featuring a wallpaper you want to be found. If it was in a video, try to capture a frame that'd show as much wallpaper as possible.
2. Request reference images do not have to be sent as a file (although it may help to save resolution and increase probability of finding, especially with abstract wallpapers).
3. Providing a link of the source where you saw the wallpaper helps (especially with screenshots from videos).
4. If you already know the wallpaper you request is a paid wallpaper, do not request it from the group. Sharing paid wallpapers goes against our piracy rule.

Sending wallpapers

1. Make sure to upload wallpapers in file format. Sending wallpapers as images results in a compressed, lower quality image.
2. If you're sending a wallpaper to someone's request, use reply or tagging function to notify them you've found their request. Otherwise the message may be missed.

As stated before: do not share paid wallpapers. This goes against our our piracy rule.
