WIUT Students' Union

The WIUT SU is an organization run by students for students.

The SU governance and management are done by 7 Full-Time Executives: 6 publicly elected and 1 appointed.

Let us briefly outline the responsibilities of the Students' Union representatives using the example of the current executives.

SU Sports Events Executive

Responsibilities
SU Sports Events Executive is responsible for all Sports Events at WIUT
Responsible for all Sports Clubs at WIUT
Responsible for complex sports events and regularly cooperates with the Head of the Sports Department
Should actively participate in all complex projects of SU

SU Events and Entertainment Executive

Responsibilities
Events and Entertainment Executive is responsible for the Social Activities and Events in the University
Responsible for Social, Art, and Entertaining Clubs of WIUT
Responsible for participating in organizing Visits to Landmarks and supporting the SU President in this together with the General Secretary

SU Information and Communication Executive

Responsibilities
Responsible for providing the appropriate level of communication between Students and the SU members via e-mails and other forms of electronic and printed communication
Responsible for preparing and presenting SU-related media projects to the University's public
A person who controls the Media side of SU and WestTV

SU General Secretary

Responsibilities
The General Secretary is the person who generates the SU fund
All outside and inside fund-raising projects could be organized by General-Secretary
Organizes regular-weekly SU meetings and the Board meetings
Funds of the Clubs of WIUT must regulated by General-Secretary

SU Education & Welfare Executive

Responsibilities
Education and Welfare Executive is responsible for the academic support of the SU Board to the students of WIUT
A person who supports the academic life of the students of WIUT within her responsibilities
A person who is responsible for organizing Revisions to support students in terms of Academic side
Education and Welfare Executive is the person who is responsible to control the CRs

President

Responsibilities
President is the person who represents the interests of the students of WIUT to the administration and outside
Defines and guides the strategy of the SU cabinet
Represents SU in academic councils
Has to support executives with their projects
Initiates and generates the projects regarding sponsors
All projects which will be organized and held outside and inside the university are under the president’s supreme control
