This restaurant is the best Italian place in SD.
I had a mushroom pasta and it was really good! The service was good and they gave free bread in the beginning as well. That was delicious. A few people we spoke to said it was the best pasta they've ever had! It was a really romantic spot for couples and I'd go back for date night
Server (laura) was great, described the menu perfectly and gave suggestions in which we tried the octopus which was delicious. Overall restaurant delivers amazing, authentic and delicious food. I will definitely come back.

The food was really really disappointing. I am shocked this made the Michelin San Diego list. The pasta was about the level of Olive Garden
Cesarina has been a bookmarked place for me for so long, and it did not disappoint! My partner and I brought our family and the family dog (it's wonderfully dog friendly!), and we sat in the outdoor patio on a lovely sunny day. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and the kindly answered all of our questions. The food was superb and I absolutely loved the aesthetic! (The rooster pitchers were really cool!) Parking is tough to find (there are only two dedicated spots), but we parked in the neighborhood nearby and walked over. We will be back again!

It was one of the best Italian meals I have had and that's outside of the service. The service alone was fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough. You must go!

I have been to Cesarina many times for brunch/lunch not for dinner, though the menu is the same I believe for both. I enjoy sitting outside in their patio, it feels cozy but secluded, not like you're sitting on a sidewalk in the middle of a fairly busy street. This time I tried the Arrabbiatissima with spaghetti noodles. Wow, such an unexpected delicous spicyness to it and the way the burrata melted in. Amazing. So glad I ordered this. Always love the Lavendaer Lemondae mimosa and the Tiramisu. Both a must whenever I dine here.

This is a charming restaurant with delicious Italian food. The staff are warm, friendly and attentive. The prices are a bit high. The portions are not large. We celebrated our anniversary at Cesarina where they made up feel special. Grazie mille!!! Bravo!!!

We (2 adults, 2 kids) absolutely loved this cozy neighborhood spot. The décor and ambiance was really cool and creative. The service was great, server provided good recommendations. However, the food is the main attraction. It was absolutely delightful, like a taste of modern Italian. They even offered a kids menu (dessert not included though) that was really delicious. I am not an octopus eater but I had to try their glazed octopus and it was perfect. Recommend making reservations as it was very full.
Wow! The house made pasta is spectacular! Our server was exceptional. My very hard to please parents in from the west side of Maui were so happy. And thank you for bringing them butter.

Our party of 5 was celebrating a birthday and ordered dishes to share, including the delicately fried zucchini blossoms, melon and prosciutto salad and 2 pasta dishes, ending with a tableside tiramisu! All dishes were exceptional and service by Brittany was impeccable and friendly. The entire group raved about our experience!

Delicious and good service. Hubby loved his lasagna. I had the pork mushroom meatsauce on a special ravioli. It was very rich, so I’d order something lighter the next time. However we still managed to add two desserts- single scoop of sorbet and their puff pastry dessert. Yum!
I can’t express how amazing our anniversary celebration was at Cesarina! Our server, Liam was fantastic! The food, drinks & ambiance.. all wonderful! Highly recommend coming here, but make sure to have a reservation in advance. They book quickly and understandably so.. best spot in Point Loma!
We came to celebrate my best friends birthday with as a table of four. I love everything about the restaurant and we had a great time! Great service, the best vegan menu and wonderful for mixed groups of people with so many options. Three out of four of us ended up getting the fungi sauce all with different pasta and it was totally delicious. We started with a drink at the pasta bar which was so fun to watch the chef at work. It felt like dinner and a show! Next time I need to book earlier to get a spot inside or specify to be in the front patio instead of in the parklette in the parking lot. They have done a great job making it feel like part of the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was in that section, but it does feel removed from the main restaurant. We will be back! Make reservations two weeks in advance for best selections.
It's apparent that quality ingredients are used within their dishes. The staff was some of the most helpful and engaging I have had the pleasure of experiencing and they provide larger than usual portions for Italian restaurants.
Really fantastic! Calamari and shrimp appetizer was outstanding. Pappardelle and ravioli were the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had!

This was our first time eating at Cesarina! We decided to give it a try for our anniversary and couldn't be happier with the choice. My meal was delicious and exactly as described. My wife wasn't happy with her first selection (salad) and instead of letting her leave with "an empty stomach" the manager brought her choice of a new dish of pasta. She loved the vegetarian pasta dish! We will definitely be back to eat at Cesarina and recommend it to anyone looking for some real, homecooked Italian food.

Food and service were excellent. Glad to be on side patio, which was quieter, but the round table for my party of 6 was awkward for the person sitting in the walkway.
