About the Opportunity
Global PARO is seeking passionate volunteer English mentors to support Indonesian nurses preparing for international careers. Through weekly online conversation sessions, you'll help participants improve their English communication, build confidence, and develop the skills needed for global healthcare environments.
No teaching certification is required—if you're fluent in English and enjoy encouraging others, we'd love to have you join us.
Responsibilities:
•Lead one-on-one or small-group English conversation sessions.
•Encourage participants to practice speaking in a supportive environment.
•Share practical communication tips and cultural insights.
•Provide constructive feedback to help participants improve their confidence.
•Foster an engaging and positive learning experience.
Discussion Topics:
•Self-introduction and daily routines as a nurse
•Workplace communication and patient care scenarios
•Cultural adaptation and professional goals
•Nursing interview preparation
•Global workplace readiness
•Mock interview practice and feedback
Qualifications:
Fluent in English (native or near-native proficiency).
Friendly, patient, and encouraging communication style.
Passionate about helping others learn and grow.
Available to volunteer approximately one hour per week.
Previous mentoring, coaching, teaching, or healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
